This place is awesome
The plant is owned by Georgia renewable power
Operated and maintained by company called Veolia north america which is by the ways one of the top companies in the world .
This plant is completely environmentaly friend

Here is some important information about the plant operation for the serrounding community .

The plant is using wood chips as a fuel, this fuel is transfered with conveyors to a boiler .
The boiler is just a piece of equipment designated to produce steam no more no less.

The boiler was designed to have a fire box inside where we can burn the wood chips , once you have a fire inside the fire box the walls of boiler has water ,the water start to absorb the heat from the fire and the water then heated until it convert to steam.
Once we have steam ,it is directed to an equipment called turbine .

The steam is to rotate a turbine with a fixed speed (rpm) , this turbine is coupled with a generator to generate electricity.

The final stage of the turbine the steam is condensate back to a water and then pumped again to the boiler to generate steam again, And the cycle continues over and over .

There is another piece of equipment called the cooling tower, this is for cooling down the hot equipments ( like condensation of the steam to condensate)

The cooling tower simply takes water from the county and use it for cooling the system and then the returned hot water is to be cooled down by the ambient air using big fans and it is a loop too.

So please notice that if you see white smoke near to the plant this is nothing but a water vapor or a mist which is completely safe .

Regarding the environment , I can say that this place is super safe and comply with all environmental and safety regulations .
If you still have any concerns please feel free to ask and I will be more than happy to answer😊
