This store is truly how a hardware store should be. Someone greeting you and asking how they can help you the second you walk in. Everyone in the store knows what they’re talking about and can guide you. I havnt noticed prices being more expensive than other places, but even if they are, they have my business. Quality and service beats lowest prices everyday in my book

This store is amazing and Michael went out of his way to help me to secure the screen door to the top of my car. I would not have been able to do this on my own, he came up with the idea, got the cardboard and tape, made sure I can drive back with it.

By the way if you need to get your screen door replaced - order it there. I followed the advice from my handyman and could not be happier - highly recommend. Thank you, All!

I never mind paying slightly higher prices at Ace vs the big home improvement stores because of the extra service. However, this Ace is not properly staffed. So much for helpful service at my new neighborhood hardware store. The manager Craig Walford acknowledged that he is severely understaffed. I'll try my luck at Home Depot or Lowe's, sorry Paul you lost my business two weeks after moving in down the street.

Jackson went above and beyond helping us trying to figure out how to make new cases for our kachina dolls out of plexiglass. He cut some pieces and then had to shave another 1/8 inch off and immediately went and did it while we waited. Then recommended some silicone glue.
Great job and effort.

Do you know what I love about this place? It's like a time machine - 1953. As soon as you step through the doors, you're warmly greeted and someone asks you what they can help you find. It seems like that kind of care and customer service exists only in black and what films.
The store offers good selection, fair prices, and plenty of help to make sure you get what you need. I think I have patronized all the departments at this store, and I have always come away with exactly what I have needed.
About 35 years ago I received a set of Craftsman socket wrenches as a gift. They have seen much use over the years. Now, Craftsman tools have a lifetime warranty. And, Ace Hardware is a Craftsman retailer. Well, my son was taking his truck apart and, with the use of a cheater bar, he shattered the teeth of the 3/8" ratchet drive. I took it up to Ace and showed them the destroyed tool. I asked, "Do you want to know what happened?"
The bloke replied, "Oh, I'm curious, but what's important here is getting you your replacement."
Then we went to the Craftsman tool section where we found my free replacement.
Then I told the chap, "My son used a cheater bar on this thing."
The man replied, "Yup, nine times out of 10, that's why these things get replaced. And if your son breaks this one, we'll replace it again. But maybe he should be using a 1/2" drive."
That was good advice, as well as a friendly jab.

Been shopping here for years. I ride a motorcycle (as was evident by the helmet in my hand). Apparently they think a frequent customer is now a thief and told me to leave my backpack with them. Absolutely not. I don’t patronize establishments that believe I’m going to steal from them. Furthermore If you don’t trust me, with all the security cameras and personnel doing loss prevention to shop. Why on earth would I trust your random employee with the extremely valuable contents of my backpack with zero supervision. Went to Home Depot without issue and got the item cheaper. I prefer to shop local but not at the expense of being treated like a criminal. Won’t be back.

Ace is definitely the place that this girl shops. The other two big chains do not have near the customer service that Ace has. Everyone I’ve ever worked with there has been very helpful, but honestly I try to go Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Those are the days that Kris is there. He has unbelievable knowledge and has been a lifesaver for me a couple of times. They are lucky to have him.

Paul's always has someone with lots of experience who can help me find a nut and bolt to replace the ones that have fallen off my loom. Only place that has ever asked if a nut and bolt could be metric because the machine was made in Sweden.
