I really had thought this would be a successful attempt at getting our boat looked at by an honest and honorable mechanic.

I waited a few weeks and tried to connect with this gentleman, without success. Planned a 9am meeting time at my home in Twain Harte and he calls 10 minutes before 9 and says he would arrive around 9:30 to 10am which I agreed. He shows up at 10:30, doesn't even acknowledge being late, when I asked him what happened, he gave excuse he didn't "get out of house soon enough", "got caught in construction traffic"...

Further, he pulls out a document and asks me to sign before the work is started, of which I realize is the norm for mechanics. I ask him first before I sign if he can agree to reduce the mobile fee ($40 down to $20) for his arriving late. He then advises me that I am out of his mobile range anyways !!! Note: He is a mobile mechanic, from Sonora, and I am in Twain Harte, of which they are no more than 7 miles apart! He proceeds to tell me that even his website says he doesn't cover Twain Harte... I reminded him that he never mentioned that fact over the phone prior to meeting nor did I see it on his website, and I still don't see it as of the date of this review, May 30, 2019 at 10:54am.

I kindly and politely informed him that I was no longer interested in his services. He shook my hand and said “thank you for wasting my time”. Then, a female passenger who came along with him proceeded to argue with me to tell me that I wasted their time and that I had agreed that they could arrive between 9 and 10... I politely reminded her of the original agreement of 9am, I also reminded her that showing up at 10:30 is not between 9 and 10.

I really wish it would've worked out differently.
