My whole crew loves this place. The weekly piano and quitar lessons had expanded our family life for the better. I am also thrilled to receive as a token the quitar cords which get replaced in the shop. New experimental sculpure upcoming!

Stopped in here once when travelling. Good guys. Friendly, chill, knowledgeable. Got a bit of everything, all good quality. Seems as if the things they carry are carefully selected. Everything I touched was in tune and clean.

These guys are great. I went in to upgrade my acoustic guitar, and get my first electric. I know diddly squat about guitars, especially electrics, and they did an awesome job of explaining the different options and letting me try them out to my hearts content.

They even talked me out of spending too much money, instead encouraging me to get two reasonably priced, excellent quality guitars, versus the many much more expensive options at the store.

Customer service is awful. We went in today and it was slow—more employees than customers and not one employee asked us if we needed help.

On 3/2/2024 I drove about an hour to get to the Brunswick, GA Portman's location. My bass needed some adjustment and Portman's is the closest music and repair store. I was in and out in less than a half hour with the guitar adjusted and sounding amazing. Thank you Portman's for such great customer service. I will make the long journey for my repair needs in the future.

This is a really great music store. The guys there really know their stuff, not just how to read the back of a box. They even carry the high end guitars such as Taylor and Gibson.
