Almost don’t want to post - this is a special place

This type of grassland used to extend further across Arizona and New Mexico. Overgrazing of cattle brought down the grass and allowed tougher thorn bushes to take over. Some of the best grasslands that are preserved in Southern Arizona are private ranchos the owners took care of.
