I really enjoyed my shopping experience here. I don’t like grocery stores for my meats and Southern Steer had everything I needed and more. Friendly staff, the shop was organized well and smelled nice ,great specials, and an extensive rewards program. I found my new butcher shop!

The marinated meats are good especially the argentine chicken thighs because they can go straight on the grill. This shop has more to offer than delicious meats. The sides are also good too.

I recently visited Southern Steer Butcher in Alpharetta, and I am beyond impressed! Kenny, the owner, has created an incredible local gem that feels like stepping back into an “old school” butcher shop. Kenny and his team are incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, guiding me through their selection to pick out the perfect Prime Rib roast and Shrimp skewers. The food is absolutely top-notch, and you can tell they take real pride in both quality and customer service.

Hands down the best meats we’ve ever had… my family is convinced I’ve learned to cook well but I promise I’m just buying my meats from SSB. Maybe you don’t have picky eaters you just haven’t had this high quality of meat!

We have our favorite deal days circled on our weekly calendar because the deals are amazing, the food quality is unmatched, and our ENTIRE family loves it.

I had heard from friends in California about how good Tri-Tip Roast is. Southern Steer recently opened near us. I walked in and the first thing I noticed was they had Tri-Tip. I had to try it. The pictures will speak for how tender and juicy it turned out. Kenny the owner provided great service. He helped in choosing the right size and even trimmed it perfectly for me. I just needed to add a rub and put it on the kamado. We have also had the marinated chicken. Phenomenal flavor and so juicy.

The fine folks at Southern Steer do a great job, from their fresh legendary cuts to the service they provide every time we visit. The technique they use to marinade chicken is incredible. I highly recommend their Argentine chicken; its got a little kick to it but not too spicy at all. They also have these garlic pickles that I have grown very fond of. Fantastic local butcher shop..!!
