Isn't it understandable to have some anxiety and trepidation when entrusting your home to a major overhaul? Last summer our home had some water damage that impacted the flooring and what started out as a modest area eventually evolved into an area that included a good 90% of our floors. (four layers including two layers of asbestos 1970's vinyl flooring!) To put it simply, we felt so overwhelmed after seeing the floors peeled back to cement to reveal the Frankenstein beneath, an alarming map of deep cracks and other unsightly things that the amount of work it would take felt insurmountable.
And after decades of tackling home projects and renovations ourselves, this was a novel experience for us - we didn't know what to expect. After meeting and discussing the project with Brett Nutting, the man in charge, we decided to have faith in his abilities to make it happen. Encouraged by his passion and confidence we decided to entrust him to get the job done. Once the tiles arrived - some VERY special order Terrazzio tiles that had to be made and shipped from a company in Tennessee- the project quickly kicked into high gear. What followed was a perfect symphony of coordinated tasks from some amazingly talented workers, each with their own expertise including floor prep (Manny & Hector), the tile layers (Tucson General Contractors-Ernesto and Diego), a LOT of dry wall work from JVG Enterprises-Rick Gandara & Gabriel (due to baseboard removal exposing a sizable gap after the floors were taken out) as well as doors (Norman of KO Construction LLC). We have seen many projects in other's homes but to witness the level of talent and professionalism of each team was truly awe inspiring. Brett sent us the best there is, the cream of the crop and we have already received compliments on the flooring and the doors. (we decided to change out the dated old doors with grungy hinges)
Since completion, we now go about our days in complete bliss, always aware of the beautiful transformation, a house that is now unrecognizable from its former days. We are so grateful to Southwest Hazard Control and for Brett Nutting's devotion and the incredible hard work and dedication that went into this from all the contractors - from beginning to end.
Thanks for transforming our home into what I humbly consider 'iconic' status. Such a professional experience, we are truly grateful for everything that was done!

Southwest Hazard did mild remediation in my home in February of 2024. It will likely have to be done again this year because of quality of the work done by Eugene and his team. Just a couple months after they “fixed” all of the leaks and put my walls back together, I had water leaking through my baseboards again in one of the areas where they worked. The new kitchen counters and sink they installed were not completely caulked so there was also still water leaking under my cabinets and likely behind them. The caulk work done in the bathroom where my vanity was replaced looks like it was done by my 5 year old daughter. I wish I could give this company zero stars because I still have water coming in from outside and going through my walls, and I’m positive there’s still mold.

We had water damage to our home for the second time and found out about Southwest Hazard Control from our neighbor who had used them. I was able to get ahold of Brett before the company my insurance company called and thank goodness for that! Brett insured an extremely smooth process and honestly way better than the company that we used for the prior damage. Brett kept me updated the whole time. We had a vacation scheduled during the middle of the process, I thought that would cause issues but no Brett and Allen made it work smoothly. What’s great is they do it all. We couldn’t find a licensed plumber to work on the fire suppression system but Southwest has one, they did the remediation and reconstruction and did a better job then the original contractor did building the house. Having Southwest Hazard work on my home was hands down the best decision I’ve made in a long time! If you’re in need Southwest Hazard are they way to go!!!

Southwest Hazard Control and Brett Nutting took care of a comprehensive project for me that included asbestos abatement, demolition, fire deodorization, and building permitted additions. From start to finish the team communicated well, was professional and highly skilled. They handled the hazardous materials with the utmost care. Then they transformed the damaged space into a beautiful, safe, and modern home. The design and build of the additions exceeded my expectations; blending seamlessly with the existing structure. I couldn't be happier with the quality of their work and the dedication they showed throughout the process. Highly recommend!

I did not hire them but I can tell you the job they did after my husband passed away was awesome. I can't get into too much detail but I will say that Brett and the owners are top guys in the field. I trust them and they are one hundred percent number one in my book.

Know Southwest Hazard Control for about 15 years. Use to market and do business with them. After becoming a Realtor I have used their services. Flat out the best mold remediation company out there. Better on price than everyone and way way better in service. Can't say enough positive things about them. Just glad we have them in our area. Thanks Southwest Hazard Control.
