I dropped a head shot doe weighing 147 lb off with this processor a little over a week ago. I picked up the deer meat last night and was impressed with the vacuum seal packaging. Which accounts for the two stars that I left. As I said the deer weighed 147 lb when I got home I weighed the finished meat packages and it yielded 33 lb of boneless meat. Mind you, I had everything made into Burger except for The tenderloins and backstrap. I texted the processor and he stated because of their quality butchering and lack of any deer Tallow remaining in the meat their processing yields a much higher quality yet smaller amount. I explained to him and sent him yield charts of other butchers and popular hunting magazines which demonstrated that this size deer should yield approximately 70 lb of meat he then stated that the deer only weighed 130 lb on the hoof. Even if the deer only weighed 130 lb which it didn't because I weighed it that should yield at least 58 lb of meat he then stated that because they trim all the fat and tendons out of the meat their processing yields less. Which would assume that there's over 30 lb of fat in tendon on a 147 lb doe. So basically if you head shoot a deer which gives the butcher a clean carcass you can expect a 22% yeild from the rack shack at a price of $114. I'm trying to post pictures a yield chart and our text history. Pictures posted.

Picked up our Euro Mount yesterday and it looks great! Highly recommend The Rack Shack for deer processing and mounts.

Had 7 deer dropped off, manager walked away from the business and everything fell to a young man in way over his head. Meat was freezer burnt none of the hamburger was accounted for and half the meat owed was given. Young man was very respectful and gave my money back, just sucks I lost all that deer meat. Euro mount still owed and shoulder mount, yet to be determined, will update.

*UPDATE*
Got a call the following rifle season that my sons shoulder mount was ready. You could see the staples on top of the bucks head, very poor mount quality. The owner gave back $250 on the cost of the mount and gave me my euro mount for free. Also offered to “get me the deer owed”. He seems to be a respectable person if you wanna take a chance. I’m not sure I’ll be back this season.

Not impressed took me over 30 Days to get my Buck back and the vacuum seal job was a joke 1/3 of the meat wasn't Vacuumed it was just bagged and sealed and some all ready have Freezer burn and a few others wasn't even sealed at all To make matters worse it was about a 140 lb Buck and I only got 28lb of Meat Back

Dropped off (2) 5 1/2 year old mature bucks 175 pounds and 185 pounds and got back maybe half the meat. The customer service was horrible and it took over 8 weeks to finally get the deer back after calling multiple people and no one would return calls but the amount of meat that came back was the biggest issue and it is completely ridiculous to waste that much meat. Do not take the rack shack a deer , do your self a huge favor and drive 20 minutes north to Southern Boys Processing they are the best i have ever used.

Brought a hog to these guys last Sunday and was told it'd only take 3 days to process and be ready. Here it is Friday and when we called they couldn't find our paperwork. So we drive down there and they haven't even done anything with it! This was my son's first hog and an hour out of our way to come here. Extremely disappointed as they owner seemed like a good guy. I'd definitely not bring anything to them for processing if you want it back.
