Vader Air has been taking care of my business for a number of years. I am on a maintenance plan every 180 days. Recently I had a big issue at my home with water damaging my ceiling. Phillip came and found that the system was icing up, drains from my evaporator that were 22 years old were plugged and I had one bad condenser for my downstairs air conditioner. I own a automotive repair shop and we work on automotive AC systems. I understood everything Phillip was telling me. His prices were fair and most importantly I was only having done what was needed VS other companies that would have tried to replace both systems completely. Phillip is a stand up guy, ex Air Force and I have known him for over 10 years and trust him completely.

Where do I start, hopefully this will help someone to avoid a problem in the future. I have contracted Vader Air to install a brand new system, which is a quote for all installations and new unit. I am not writing this angry just the facts. Everything went well, at the beginning until a year later we made a service check and found the unit was leaking freon. The owner charged me exactly of $576.80 for the annual check up and including of adding freon 7 lbs at $395. He said in his own words there are leaks in the hoses in the wall where he does not cover under warranty. Well I assume they have all covered under those agreement they make you sign. I called another company to quote the problem as I do not want to deal with this company again. They have showed me pictures of joints that were used for water connections not appropriate in AC systems. they also found 0 freon in the unit. I have their quote and pictures as evidence. I just want to point this out. None of these are my assumption, all are from other professionals in the area. I guess 10 year warranty does not mean anything at vader air.

there is an update on the case. I finally took them to the california board of contractors. I found out that instead of a new unit. the unit he put on my roof was an old smaller unit. I had to open complaint with the contractor board. Finally after the them getting involved. I was able to get Phillip to exchange to the unit he promised. PLEASE DO NOT HIRE. NOT HONEST. i feel the obligation to warn you.

I appreciate Vader Air and the repeated customer service that has been conducted at my home, mother’s and rentals. My family has been a longtime customer. Phillip is an honest businessman who does not cut corners. He does great assessments and offers options that are practical and realistic. The staff show courtesy and respect which is defined by how Phillip leads his team. Each project is done without issues and clean up is always a plus. Very thorough and consistent. I value a Veteran owned and operated business and would continue to recommend Vader Air.
