My wife and I have a 2022 Winnebago Micro Minnie 2108TB FLX that we bought in Indiana and brought back to Alaska where we live. In preparation for the 2023 Alaska Summer season, we attempted to extend the slide to begin cleaning and packing the trailer for our planned trips. The Lippert/Schwintek slide system started making horrible grinding noises and then seized up halfway out on the “fixed” side of the slide-out.

I ended up ordering the “fixed” side upper and lower rails, gears, the plastic V-rollers, bearing blocks, and shoes from Lippert. Once I watched multiple YouTube videos on replacing the system, I jumped in, and with the help of my son, made the repairs. We discovered the original rails and gears were stripped, one of the plastic V-rollers was broken, and both shoes were cracked.

All was great until we made a trip to Tok, AK. The slide failed again so I researched VROOM and made an appointment for April 2024 with Tenlee Vroom.

On the night before our appointment, Tenlee said we could camp on the property free of charge, so we took advantage of the offer. WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE we had with the employees at VROOM!

In the morning of our appointment, we were greeted by one of the supervisors who took notes of my findings and concerns. He was extremely friendly and helpful and made certain I understood what they would do for me. We left the trailer in his capable hands and went to explore more of the Marana and Tucson area. At the end of the day, we got a call from the shop that our trailer was ready to be picked up, so we dropped what we were doing and rushed back to the shop.

We couldn’t believe what the folks at the shop had done for us and how well the slide worked. Not only had they replaced the slide system itself, but they also replaced all the seals around the slide room and installed aluminum plates under the room for the three rollers. The wonderful technician who worked on our trailer walked us through the operation of the slide to include the “emergency” retraction bolt. And then another technician took us to a table where they had a mockup of the VROOM slide system and pointed out the construction as well as gave a visual demonstration of how the slide worked. Finally, we had the pleasure of meeting an incredible young lady, Denisse, who managed the sales and service of the shop and who gladly took our money.

Actually, it was a pleasure to pay for the work they had done because the VROOM system is far superior to the Lippert/Schwintek system. On top of that, Denisse gave us a couple of nice T-shirts with the VROOM logo on them and Joey, the shop manager, gave us some replacement rivets, etc. after we bought a spare motor. Before you ask, we only know their names because of the invoice. ? All totaled we paid $4506.71 saving a 5% credit card service fee because we paid in cash. I did ask Joey if they had a manual for the system, but he stated they don’t. So, if there is one suggestion I have for them, it is to put together an owner’s manual and perhaps a listing of some parts that the customer can replace like the motor, etc.

Now it was time to put the new slide system to the test! After 7 weeks and 5672 miles, we were home, and our new slide passed the test. Our route took us over several mountains, multiple sharp turns and bends, and over 400 miles of the worst spring frost heaves imaginable between Burwash Landing, Yukon and Eureka, Alaska. Our freshwater tank dropped down and had to be ratcheted in place with tie downs, and two of our drawers flew out and broke their rails, but the VROOM slide system didn’t miss a beat.

We couldn’t be happier with VROOM Slides! Our experience has been incredible. From the first time we started communicating with Tenlee, to the absolutely wonderful and professional members of the installation team, to the fabulous quality and performance of the slide system itself, all has far exceeded our expectations! We believe it was money well spent and we look forward to many years of happy camping with a dependable slide! Thank you, VROOM!!!

We had the Vroom team upgrade the Schwintek slide system on our Grand Design 28BH and we couldn’t be happier. The whole team at Vroom was so friendly and courteous and took great care of our home on wheels for the day. We’re excited to have confidence in our slide again and to know that it’ll come in when we tell it to instead of breaking down constantly like the Schwintek.

“Vroom” is the “Future” for slide systems. I am so thankful for Brian Vroom and his outstanding invention for a “Reliable” “Bullet Proof” slide system. Our Schwintek slide systems broke on our new Tiffin rv. There are so many RVs, trailers, fifth wheels etc.... with slides broken and not working correctly. I guess necessity was the mother of invention that got Brian to invent this incredible slide system. Thank’s Brian, Vroom team, for your outstanding product and customer service. It was well worth the drive from San Diego.

We recently had our Schwinteck slide system replaced with the Vroom Slide System. There are RV forums all over the internet singing the praises of this company for having a great product and wonderful service team. My husband and I are extremely happy with the product and service we received. In under 10 hours, the guys replaced the slide system and shimmed the rollers. There was an amazing difference in the operation of retracting and extending the slide. So much better - quieter, too. Kudos to Brian Vroom and his team.

Although the Vroom system itself is a huge upgrade to the Schwintek, I wish the pricing was consistent across the various locations. We were quoted $4500 when we made our appt in Utah since the wait list for Arizona was 9 months out and we wouldn’t be in the area in later 2023. After the installation, we were told to pay $5500 due to some necessary upgrades. And apparently we had to pay the shipping cost, too. The installation had already been completed, so what were we going to do? Leave our RV there? So we paid the ridiculous amount and left town. Unfortunately, the installation wasn’t perfect as the plates underneath our slide rubbed against our flooring, creating marks. On our way back across the country, we called Vroom to express our concern. Thankfully, the shop in Alabama could get us in and fixed the problem. We also told Vroom about the outrageous bill, and he told us that’s not the way it should be and they’d talk to the shop in Utah. It would have been nice for Vroom to give us our money back for the overpricing (and the fact that we had to go out of our way to Alabama to get a problem fixed), but I guess we were disillusioned that something like that might happen. We didn’t have any choice but to upgrade our slide. But we feel like as the company expands, this frustration will be felt by other customers. While others have been able to get the installation in Arizona and even come out cheaper than the initial quote, we unfortunately didn’t have that experience.

Just had our Schwintek slides re-done by Brian Vroom and his team at Vroom Engineering in Tucson, AZ - 2020 40ip Bus. Never had serious issues but wanted to get ahead of it. What a great team of people, and we love our new slides. Highly recommend Brian and his crew!

Sending all of the broken Lupert SchwinTechs your way! Thank you for making an alternative to everyone's problem!!! An alternative to SchwinTechs terrible and inadequate device. Lupert should have never made a slide out system! I WISH VROOM WAS IN ALL SLIDE OUTS! GREAT DURABLE SYSTEM THAT ALMOST NEVER BREAKS!
