Update. James went above and beyond when he agreed to adjust our boat cover after repair was complete. We both failed to include that in the replacement of our tower. He did a great job on the adjustment too...cover looks and fits great. James is the authorized MB repair services in the area. He did a fantastic job replacing our failed 2014 stock tower using all OEM components giving our boat a whole new appearance and function. Quality of work was great! BTW, I have high expectations so almost never rate a five out of five. So 4 star is great work on my ratings.

We contacted him about fixing some damaged hulls for a Hobie cat in April. James said he could have some metal plates fabricated for us. He stated it would take 2-6 weeks and would cost $2000. We paid him and he cashed the check and did not hear from him again. I started reaching out in August. I would call him he would say end of this week then the next week same thing. I am now calling him everyday and every time it is the same I need to check with the machine shop. I just want either the plates or my money back but I am trapped in this back and forth waiting for him to do something for me when he has my $2000 and has not paid the machine shop since he cant seem to confirm with them that they have made anything. If you use him make sure you only pay a deposit or you could end up trying to secure a product or service he seems he can not provide.

Please don’t make the mistake I made. James had my boat for two full years, didn’t do the work I paid 3/4ths for him to do and now I have to take it somewhere else to re-do his sloppy and incomplete work. Two years of my boating life gone, not to mention my money.

Take your boat literally anywhere else.

I can only speak to my experience but James and his crew knocked it out of the park on a new canvas top for my Striper. Everything about it is top notch-from the canvas used to the far-sturdier framework supporting it. He also custom-made a rain cover for the back of the boat and the attention to detail on the snaps is perfect. We've had 2 big rain events since getting it back home and not a drop in the boat. James himself was also good about keeping me up-to-date on the progress of the project. Me personally, I'd use these guys again in a heartbeat and plan to.

James himself assessed replacing plywood floor in a bow section of my aluminum boat. Trailer my boat to his shop. Said his shop could easily make the piece but strongly suggested I could and should do it myself. My fishing boat is old and James thought I could manage the work myself. Upfront, helpful and fair. Couldn't have been more appreciative as a potential customer. Thank you.

James is Dishonest in his response. I never approved the non skid job he did as it was so sharp that it cut everyone and literally would draw blood. It was a safety hazard. He said he would make the non skid right, but instead damaged my gel coat. He was paid $1000 for a window job and all he did was remove and ship it which is a $500 job. James broke his promises and deadlines constantly for over a year and then refused to finish and return my material. He took $7800 for a non skid Job and left me with damaged gel coat. Over $8800 lost money and over a year of wasted time. Worst experience I have ever had and I have been boating for 29 years. Horrible service.
