I had a very small metal project that had to be completed right away. So I started to call Fabricators around the area. Russ at Custom Metal Fabricators was my first call of the day. Not to put everything in one basket I called other Fabricators in the area, but Russ at Custom Metal Fabricators was the only one who really tried to help me with this short order project. I have never met Russ before or had any work done at his shop, but talking to him I decided to use him for this small metal project that I had to be done that day per my company. I had a problem finding his shop, but a quick phone call and he directed me to the right place. The shop was clean and he was very friendly and knowledgeable of his craft. His work was quick and he finished my project later that afternoon. I gave him the company email for the order number so he can get paid and off to the store to check to see if it would fix. It did like a glove. The store was happy, I was happy and my company was happy. Not bad for a last minute project. I would (and did) recommend Custom Metal Fabricators to other companies for their work to get done on time and with great eye for detail...

In response to Gabriel's negative view;

I went above and beyond in what I do for most customers. It's difficult to do business or communicate with someone who leaves hostile messages and threatens to ruin your business because an estimated time line hasn't been met. I explained that a hydraulic valve for my equipment was on backorder and I was attempting to repair the existing one. I've been out to the site to measure the enclosure and again to take detailed measurements for the multiple conduits that feed the electrical panels for each apartment. This is additional time that Gabriel has not paid for nor has he been asked to pay for. I do not cut corners to expedite a completion. The existing wooden enclosure never met the building code.

Gabriel has a maintenance person in the field that is very understanding and professional. It is unfortunate that Gabriel operates at the level of a Hothead. There are plenty of things he could give his attention to on this Section 8 property that would be more productive than writing negative reviews, e.g. Clean up the broken down cars in the parking lot, haul away the old appliances and mattresses leaning against the fence. The tenants deserve a better management company.

Custom Metal Fabricators built me a custom housing for a chilled drinking fountain in a commercial location. He offered some advice on design also that was beneficial. It is a piece of art and so well constructed.
I am looking forward to another project involving metal and powder coating.

If I could give this zero stars I would. Russ basically stole almost $1,500 for a custom electrical panel job we hired him to do. Job was suppose to be completed in mid July and he made excuse after excuse as to why it wasn’t finished. Now its Sept and he won’t return a call. Im taking legal action and highly recommend no one use this crook!

Russ use to be a sheetmetal man I have the same review as Mr. Owens I gave him 2000 for what was supposed to be a 3000 and 8 weeks later I had absolutely no work done I had to hire someone else in 3 days he had the first flashing made it was not an easy one , big skylight, a week later he had two more Russ said he would return my money he has not and refuses to call me back or respond I found out he's not even licensed I am filing a complaint with CSLB and a small claims, he's not all there anymore you need to retire russ and stop stealing from people and wasting there time
