I recently launched my first line. It's a children's interior decor line with a focus on sustainability. This was my first time going through the manufacturing process. From start to finish there was much to learn, and so many unexpected turns, which just comes with the process of creating anything new. After researching a lot of manufacturing companies, I'm glad I chose LEFTY PRODUCTION CO. They were such a sound and supportive piece of the puzzle. I was so impressed with their communication and commitment to the standards and quality of my final products. Marta and her team are understanding and so helpful. I'm grateful for all their attention to detail and guidance that they provided. Marta has been doing this for over a decade and the experience shows. I also love working aside another female owned business. I can't wait to be working with them again in the Spring for my next collection!

Made the worst choice by choosing to work with Lefty. As a new designer with no prior experience, i picked them based on good reviews online and their credentials such as project runway. I should have thought twice when they declined on letting me see some of their work. I wish I insisted before i paid them a lot of money upfront.

From my experience , their sales team does not care whether or not they are a good fit for you. They will promise and tell you what you want to hear to get you under contract. I specifically asked them if they work with the type of material that I am looking to make and able to produce high quality workmanship they assured me I am in good hands. Now that I have spoken to more industry folks, i realized that they charged me A LOT for their package (patterns & techpacks etc) AND a monthly managing cost on top !! They have every incentive to take their time because you are paying for a monthly project management fee. I was fine with all the cost had they been able to produce a quality product but NO. Upon seeing my fist sample, I discovered that they were unfamiliar with the materials they were working with, did not even using the correct machine and gave me a sample that was A. not complete B. did not follow the pattern that they spend so much time on charging me a monthly managing cost. C. one pattern was not even delivered. It was a joke.

For the $8000 spent, I only have 3 patterns from them. I had NOTHING from them that I can work with. I had to realize my loses and find new pattern and sample makers to work with that I am happy with.

I have a lot to say but icing on the cake. They agreed to a laughable amount in refund to me in which i had to sign a non disclosure agreement that i will not speak badly of them. I told them to keep it.

For anyone considering them, I strongly advise that you seek elsewhere for manufacturing needs.

I visited this manufacturer last week and after visiting 7 previous factories, I was blown away!!! Here is my initial impression... They do all the design work and manufacturing in one building and the building was incredibly tidy even with multiple projects going. They obviously take pride in their work. I met several staff members from different departments and all of them were so kind and seemed genuinely interested in my brand. They took time to show me products at different stages and were happy to answer any questions I had. They promptly followed up with a gracious email offering additional support. I'm truly looking forward to working with Lefty. If you are not located in Los Angeles, they are definitely worth the trip!

They are able to produce a high level of craftsmanship and have a lot of experience working with various types of materials, fabrics, products, and markets, to produce very high-quality results! TOTAL SCAM ALERT!!!!! Lefty Productions takes advantage of small woman owned businesses while charging top dollar. They do not support anyone but themselves. They won't finish your project on time and will charge you a storage fee for as long as they can all the while telling you that they are working on your Clothing Line when they arent. 6 months after deadline project was not finished and they continue to try to charge me more money for a job they never finished. Lost all money spent on advertising delaying launch more than a year. Totally ruined the project. They admitted they dropped the ball returned most of my unfinished pieces (not even the samples were finished and we are talking months past deadline), lost equipment and then they keep sending me a bill.
