Gilton in Oakdale a joke they show up at best 50 percent of the time to do the sweeping here in escalon 3 weeks ago here it is 3 weeks later they still aren't over here sweeping they showed up one time in three weeks still we're paying the city of Escalon for a service that ime doing more often than not cleaning drains near me to keep streets from flooding when raining FYI they lied 3 weeks ago first no driver then sweepers still broke 3 plus weeks later

Today, the day after Christmas, with 2 full cans I missed our pick-up! I sent a request by email and got a return call within 30min, and said they would sent someone out. The garbage man was back here within an hour of my call! Thank you gilton!

I called customer service to ask a question about trash pick up, I wanted to make sure I had my trash cans in the correct location to be picked up. Lady who answered the phone did not mention her name just simply said hello with attitude, talked over me, had tons of attitude and just seemed generally annoyed. I totally get having a bad day (it happens to everyone) and maybe having a little attitude by my gosh she could of let me speak.

I've had very few positive experiences with Gilton. First problem, we had 2 black bins for over a year until one of them broke. We contacted them for a replacement, they took it, and never brought it back. After inquiring about the bin we were told "you only have 1 black bin." So what happened to our 2nd bin? Second problem is they are unreliable at picking up in a timely manner. They may arrive at 5AM or 5PM depending on their mood.
It's unfortunate that the City of Modesto relies on 3rd party companies for trash pickup. This causes customer service to go down because the trash companies are basically guaranteed business. Consumers have no other options

Katie was so sweet! I had an issue not getting a pickup and she explained it to me and when I called back she helped me with a great option for my family, now I'm getting two cans for my house, and just really appreciate how patience she is. Can someone give this woman a raise! Lol just glad that there is still some good customer service out there.

Some of the most friendly and caring staff I have ever came across. Addressed any and all problems every time I've had to contact them. They explain everything in detail and were more than willing to address concerns or questions that I had. Since they have City contracts it's hard to recommend them but I'm glad that we have them doing our service I've been in other trash companies areas and have not received the same level of professionalism and service. I own two companies and have a residence and I had to contact them on several occasions and can say that any of the ladies I've talked to there are more than capable of providing excellent service. Horrible service! The driver comes whenever he/she decides! Now with the blue cans, lots of homeless people coming and going thru the cans leaving a mess I have to clean up. My elderly neighbor got his decorative statue stolen!! My other house I had the service was always with in a 2 hr time frame.
