I came to order some hoagies for a birthday picnic so I got a variety and all were a hit. I liked them so much I came back the next morning to try their breakfast. I’m not vegan but my girlfriend is and it was really nice to be able to go somewhere together and try a bunch of items and share foods without worrying it will make her sick. I found the staff super helpful and friendly and the food was really really good. I purchased the bacon and have been cooking with it with a lot of success.

Girlfriend and I had the pleasure of trying their breakfast items. Holy cow. The breakfast burrito was unbelievable. We're breakfast burrito snobs and we've tried more than we can count, from Moody's to Eggtuck to so many more. This burrito takes the cake, hands down. The sauce that they put inside the burrito takes a simple bundle of eggs, bacon, and potatoes and transforms it into something heavenly. The flavors that this burrito offers is unmatched. Whoever created this menu really knows their stuff.

If you end up visiting this place, get the breakfast burrito and thank me later.

Absolutely delicious sandwiches, highly recommend the Reuben - perfectly balanced smokiness, pickles and sauce. Would love to pick up a bunch of items for a vegan picnic! Wasn’t a fan of the house coffee, but that’s personal preference as I am a latte/chai kind of person! Warm customer service and plenty of seating options. I will be coming here again soon! A vegan haven for deli style foods.

Great Reuben sandwich! I’ve never had one before and this was phenomenal.
My fiancé got the French Dip and wasn’t a big fan… The au jus sauce was more like a gravy in consistency and taste and the sandwich doesn’t need mustard/pickles because that’s not really a french dip. She also added that the meat for this french dip isn’t the right kind of meat for regular french dips. Basically she doesn’t believe that it should be called a French Dip on the menu.
We sat outside and it felt great today, they had a nice patio.
Overall I’m giving it a 4 for the positives of taste of my reuben and atmosphere and the negatives of high prices and a lackluster french dip.
I believe it would have been a 5 star had we not ordered the french dip and got another sandwich though.

It is so rare to find a vegan deli or a place that sells vegan breakfast or desserts consistently. Maciel’s does it all and makes absolutely delicious creations! Their house-made proteins are fabulous - unique, great flavors and excellent textures - and add so much new flavor to their sandwiches. The Flores was a game changer for my partner - they have dreams about that sandwich!! Whenever we’re in town, we stock up on their deli items and eat at least 2 meals at Maciel’s. We hope we can always count on them to be here when we come into town - and we’ll be making special trips to the area just to enjoy their delicious food.

So a while back my girlfriend and I came in to order some sandwiches for a first time visit.
We got the Italian and the chicken pesto. Along with a few deli sides.

While enjoying the meal we ate the sides and a piece of glass fell along my mat where I eat. She pointed it out. And we were confused as to it's origin. Couldn't be from the food ? It was clean with no residue or any food substance so I thought it was maybe a shard stuck to my clothing from outdoors during my travels in the day.

Well... today 10/10 I came in and bought a few sides again and the Tuscan sandwhich I was helped by a nice man named Arturo.

I got home and as I'm eating the sides late night enjoying food as I work...I JUST stumbled across ANOTHER piece of glass. This time within my dish ? I'm not sure how frequent this is or if this complain has been brought to your attention before. But something I'm the kitchen should be quality checked from cracks. Glass and broken pieces.

This was highly dangerous and a accident waiting to happen. I thank God I am somehow lucky to avoid this situation not only once but twice from your establishment.

Honestly not sure what to even do but I had to bring this you to attention as soon as possible so you can hopefully resolve this issue immediately.

Sucks. Sandwiches and sides are good but trust is tainted and money wasted.

I spent a lot of money on food and desserts here and had a bad experience for my first time, but I know many people still love the food. I ordered a very delicious churro pound cake and a steak sandwich that came doused in potent horseradish aioli. Before ordering, I inquired about the sauce to see the horseradish would be very noticeable and I wasn't advised by the woman taking orders on whether to get it or a different option – only on different sauces (no regular aioli). It took about 15 minutes to get my order made because they have a constant flow of online orders that they seem to prioritize over people waiting in person. Online orders can take 6-15 minutes to get. I got my order for take out and left, but when I finally got to eat the sandwich, it was completely inedible for me because the horseradish took over the whole sandwich. I wasn't able to reach anyone by phone because they only take online orders, so I ordered 1/2 minestrone soup and 1/2 philly and drove out of my way back there to ask politely for a refund and grab another to-go order because I couldn't eat the $22 sandwich. Then I had a big issue with the woman at the counter. She's an extremely fake polite person who clearly does not care about the individual customer, and she ended up being very passive aggressive and started snapping at me after defaulting to rejecting my refund request. I politely pushed further and she ended up talking to her boss and he approved it, but it took 20+ minutes for this whole ordeal that she was angry at me for because she was overwhelmed with the orders coming in, but I was being genuinely polite and patient the whole time despite my grandma waiting in the car (I told her this and she couldn't care less and snapped at me) and me having to stand around for all that time when I have injured feet. Additionally, the philly came with jalapeños which tainted the sandwich but I must have forgotten to click "remove" online after having a lot of difficulty with their online system and having to retry ordering multiple times through different platforms. The meat itself is good (the vegan steak was yummy) and I enjoyed the hearty minestrone but the sandwiches themselves were mediocre and small.

TLDR; For the price, the sandwiches were mediocre, but the vegan meat, soup and desserts are yummy. The customer service was poor from the woman taking orders but the owner or boss fixed the issue. I probably would not visit again unless I had no other options.
