Every chance I get i try to stop by for some of the most fresh cuts of meat in my area. Service is absolutely AMAZING & they even offer a military discount!!! I need one out here in Salinas!!! Had to stop by last weekend to get my meat for over-the-top-chilli & it didn't disappoint!!!

Wasn't there in many years, they have a nice selection of meats, Folks were friendly. I asked for a smoked brisket sandwich, asked if they had fatty brisket, they did, asked if I could please have fatty brisket only on the sandwich, no lean brisket please. The brisket was tender but it was completely lean, no fat, dry, underseasoned, not very smokey. I had to put some barbecue sauce on it for a little moisture, but I shouldn't have to do that.

Maybe it was a bad brisket day, idk.

I'll probably give them a second chance, it's a local business, I want to support that, they have some bacon cheeseburger sausage I'd like to try.

I can't express the beautiful atmosphere, everyone was smiling first thing in the morning, cracking jokes, happy to be working. No one was glum, or standing around doing nothing. The best was butchered perfectly and they offered to help us load half a steer with of meat even though they were already busy. Such a wonderful place. I will drive there from San jose to get anything butchered. Besides this, they had an absolute smorgasbord of sausage and marinated meats ready to buy. Can't wait to back

I highly recommend this place. Their thick cut bacon made for awesome BLTs. They sliced some pork Paper thin for bulgogi night. And don't get me started on the smoked turkey. That one's on our annual to-do list for thanksgiving.

I was recommended this place by a coworker, and I'm so glad I decided to check it out. The tri tip sandwich I had was huge and absolutely delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the bread was fresh and perfectly toasted. It was so big that I had to take half of it home for later.

And let's talk about the pie. Freedom Meat Lockers makes some of the best pie I've ever had. I got a slice of blueberry pie and it was fantastic. The crust was flaky and buttery, and the filling was sweet and tangy. It was the perfect way to end my meal.

What great meat! I mean, great quality meats aren't common, really. We bought some marinated beef, some sausages (with cheese), and the Hamburger (that they make from the end cuts on the more choice meat cuts. All were quality meats. If you don't know this place is here, you will drive right by. Parking is sparse. They have a nice freezer selection as well. Not many exotics however. We also bought a brisket sandwich too. Which was very tasty on Dutch Crunch bread, however the meat could have been softer.

Incredible sausage, one of my favorites is the Jalapeño cheddar & Portuguese linguica. Natural casings give the sausage the snap that can't be replicated by celluose, you can tell it was smoked but not overwhelming. Family owned business, friendly staff, great place to grab a sandwich, tri-tip or skirt steak are my go to's. They also sell steaks, fish and pre-marinated meat ready for the grill! Closed on Mondays.
