Do yourself a favor don't get a mortgage from this company. They operate like the worst criminals on the planet if they're interested in getting your property, they will send people in your property while your property is in good standing under property preservation, and vandalize your property.

To be honest it's hard to write a review for a company that generally just wants your money. That being said I'm always honest in my reviews and try to be as transparent as possible.
I'll keep it short so far after being in business with this company for 1 year now I had some discrepancies at the beging with payments however for a company being in California I have to say they were helpful in having and offering a payment plan or rather payment assistance. I ran to a few issues but for the most part it was resolved after a few phone calls. My biggest complaint is that I can never talk to the same person twice and it creates miscommunication. I'll leave it at that without going into crazy detail. So for now 4 stars I think is fair.

I don’t ever really post a review unless my experience was painless. Honestly easiest company to work with. They are honest straight forward and will assist you through anything. Don’t rush the phone calls. Checked up on me through the whole process. PennyMac is the way to go for any of your needs. I had a FHA Streamline refinance done to my mortgage. I was offered a great rate.

PennyMac is very courteous. They show you that that wasn't your business. They refinanced my first home and mortgaged my forever home. They were willing to beat other mortgage companies' closing cost estimates. And I was also able to close a few days early. If I had questions or concerns they were very responsive whether it was email or phone. The PennyMac team is great!

I worked w Mervyn Thomas, he was out to lunch most days. It seemed as if he did not want to close my loan, everything was like pulling teeth and took way too long. I’m not sure if they are overworked or under educated but I would recommend finding someone else to handle a mortgage if you had a choice. My hands were tied as I was assuming a loan and had to use them.

My experience with PennyMac and working with Eric Everett and the MAC Team I give them 3 stars in the matter that on my refinance loan Eric Everett the loan officer and the MAC Team were not in the same page. The MAC Team were working way to fast on their end which it really messed up my final closing date and ended up paying 5K plus closing costs. Other than that they are friendly staff and they are knowledgeable just need to be better on their team communications. Also I did experience very low responsiveness from both teams, phone calls or emails, very hard to get in contact directly with them.
