Called ahead to get the price for a new propane tank. After clarifying I was interested in a new tank not a refill or swap I was told $69.99. Upon arriving there I see they had a sale on refills. Went to the register and asked for a new tank. The total was $108. Way over what was said on the phone. They tried to say it was $69.99 for the refill! That is more than double what most places charge for a refill. Plus that is supposedly their sale price. Went to Ace for a new tank which was only $65.

Decided to stop by at about 10:30pm, normally the gas station is closed at this time which is normally inconvenient. After the new construction though I thought it might be open later that and the lights where on so I pulled in. It wasn't until I had finished with my credit card transaction that the pump was locked and I wasn't getting gas. The new construction looks nice but it's still the older pumps and still only four pumps which I'm sure is a problem at rush times. As I said I haven't been there when it is open so I can't judge the inside but looks nice from the outside. Overall this place would benefit from being 24 hours like every other gas station in Moorpark and turning off there lights when they are closed.
Update
I have been noticing that they have been turning off the lights at night or at least some of the time. The interior is pretty nice actually easy to find everything. Also the drink deals are decent I mean 7 eleven has better but it definitely works in a pinch. They do still however have only 4 pumps which crowds so much its better off going to the cheveron during busy times and thus I am raising my star rating to 3 stars from one.

I wish I could put - stars for this place. Go for a smog check car doesn't pass so the mechanic tells me There is something wrong with it so I asked him to take a look and give me a call back telling me what was wrong this call happened at 1:45pm Waiting till 5:00pm no call so I go back to 76 station and ask when can I get my car. The mechanic had left for the day with out even asking me if he could have my car over night. Finally got a hold of him on the phone and he said he could let me know tomorrow at 11 am what was wrong with my car. I said nope I'm taking it some where else. Not only that but the guy working there didn't know how to back out my car from the auto garage I had to do it myself and pay for a smog that didn't pass I will never go to this place for anything every again.

The food mart is very clean and comfortable in winter it is heated and toasty in summer the A/C is blowing
