5/16/19, 11:29 AM, I bought a conventional green cabbage for $1.99 per pound. They charged me $5.39 for a head of cabbage.
This store does not show the price of their produce, you would not know until the time of checking out. Dishonest business practice. and also they don’t remove yellow or dry out leafs on the vegetable.so they can charge the weights of that part of vegetable. This place make Whole Foods becomes more reasonable and attractive. I support all of local small business but not this one.

Moraga Produce carries great selection of products now (Strauss coffee ice cream! yay!) but you always should keep an eye on the check and recalculate what you are paying for - and this is annoying, to be alert like that. I've had bad experience there before and try to do that - to check prices and expected amount I should pay.
But yesterday night my husband and I made a quick stop there just to buy a couple of oranges - as simple as that. What can go wrong? At $1.49 per pound the cashier told me total amount of $2.86. Sounds about right. Both my husband and I heard the number, my husband even saw it on cash register screen. I paid with card without looking, eager to get home as fast as possible. C'mon, it's less than $3!
This morning I checked my card balances and to my surprise saw a transaction of $3.86! So one dollar on nothing, just like that. And yes, I weighted those oranges at home - a little less than 2lb, so he told me correct amount. But charged something different - hoping I wouldn't notice. and I didn't. And of course, they never give you receipt.
Horrible experience, I wish I'd say I'm never coming back but they are right next door and have great selection so I just have to keep checking everything, even when buying a lemon.

DOWNHILL ALERT!
The new owners have increased produce prices substantially, in fact on a par with Safeway! They are adding other non-produce items and reducing the size of the produce section, very disappointing. More organic items are appearing, but overall selection is poor.

This morning was the second time in two weeks I've gone there to shop and they were closed during posted 'open' hours. I've been spending probably 200 a month there since they opened. No more. My time is important. I'll shop elsewhere and spend my 200 in a store that honors the posted hours. And longtime customers.

A cooks lifesaver in the highly priced Lamorinda area. The produce here, besides being fairly priced, is usually riper than the pretty stuff at Safeway.

The store is fine, but it doesn't have everything that I want. Rather small selection of fruits and vegetables, although that's a recent trend.

Really bad customer service. They have people answering the phone that don't speak English and the guy just hung up on me. I won't be considering this business any longer.
