Free and easy parking along the main road. Accessible walk way to see the sea otters! There were a lot around 9am (mid February- 2/17/25). They’re so cute! A good amount of people but not overwhelming. After watching them, we walked to morro rock. It’s maybe 10min or so, accessible walkway no issues with stroller. By the time we went back to the otters around 10am there were a lot less, maybe it’s best to see more of them earlier in the morning like when we saw them at 9.

Visited the area, arrived around 10 am. Found parking and walked across the street to see the otters. We saw a few, and maybe got there too late. The scenery is beautiful walking around. People fishing, walking dogs, etc. All the food places opened at 11, I believe. By then the area got crowded with people and we went to the other side by the beach and ended up going to the beach. Never have i ever been to a beach and seen so many sand dollars and in different colors. Me and my family really enjoyed ourselves and will be planning a trip back, especially in the summertime.

Absolutely magic we choose to join a young guy doing his own company island tour $25 bar on the boat and his knowledge was fantastic, lovely atmosphere and learned so much about the bay, otters, and history ❤️ we will be back ♥️

Amazing views from rocky shore to otters.

Best of all, it's free!!

Stop by if you are in the area to relax and let sea animals and this small town charm take your breath away.

Although we didn't get to see any otters, we were surprised by this awesome sea lion. As you can see, my dog was excited as well 😆😍

View any day of the week, all year long. No ticket or fee required. You’ll see much more than otters from the pier. January through March is when the pups are most prevalent.

We love to stop here to see the otters and view Morro Rock. There is parking across the street and an easy walk to the harbor.

Saw otters, be patient they hang out around the boats it seems. But they never came close to the pier well we were there. Also worth going across the street to see the deep sear rescue sub from The Hunt for Red October and the bakery in that parking look is worth a stop in as well!
