I came here last minute on Valentine's Day about 1/2 hr before closing. I've seen this place many times and have always wanted to stop by. My wife wanted steak, I was omw to Safeway but decided to stop by elite meat market. A lot of the steak was gone which is to be expected. They had a 1lb Snake River Farms Eye of Ribeye Wagyu on discount so I bought it. 48.99 per lb. I reversed seared it to an internal temp of 115* and seared it on a cast iron with avocado oil to a final internal temp of 128*.

My wife didn't say anything when we were eating it until I mentioned that I was disappointed in the quality of the cut. It was chewy and the marbling was lacking. I understand that I did this last minute & probably got the cut that no one wanted, but I did expect it to be tender, but it was not, took a bit of effort to bite thru the pieces. Service was great, I'm just deeply disappointed in the quality of the meat especially for the amount I paid. I have purchased ribeye from Safeway that have been more tender than this eye or ribeye.

this was just my experience and maybe i had bad luck, but I just felt I wasted my money. I really had high hopes 😔

I've came hear to buy arrachera a few times and I was decently surprised at how good it was. I decided that I would try a brisket cut because I had decent luck there so far, however it did not turn out well.

I've cooked a lot of thicker cuts like brisket before and I wanted to give this place a try since it's basically around the corner from me. After cooking it to a perfect medium rare I was excited to give it a taste test. That's when the whole night was ruined. From the very first to the very last bite it was extremely tough and and chewy. To top it all off I paid $74 and it was about 35% fat on top being extremely hard to chew.

Maybe I just happened to get a bad cut but after looking at the reviews it seems like I'm not the only to have this issue with them. If the customer service wasn't what it was I would have left a 1 star review but at the very least they were kind and friendly to me. I would recommend Roccas Market, which is about 13 minutes south down Monterey. Its price is definitely worth it when you bite in and it's buttery all the way through.

Got the picanha grade 9, great steaks. Tender and well marbled. They had a good variety of cuts and there's something for every price range

The store was very clean and well stocked. The marbling on the beef was excellent., and they also had chicken and even some pork that weren’t in the display case. They also have a section of fresh produce, well stocked for anything you might need for a weekend bbq. The staff was super friendly and helpful, explaining each item and cutting it to the desired weight.
When I got home I found out that they overcharged me for an item by mistake. When I called, Christian quickly recognized and corrected the amount over the phone. Would go again if I’m in the area!

This place is absolutely excellent! They provided authentication for each Japanese I purchased. The Australian Wagyu is very good. I was very happy coming in. This business is definitely a benefit to the community.

I just picked up my prime rib roast for Christmas from Elite Meat Market. It was cut to the perfect size that I needed and it looks great. The customer service was great. I cant wait to cook it and see how it turns out!

The people at Elite Meat Market are super friendly and very helpful. They provided some great tips on how to cook the A5 arrachera (skirt steak) and A5 skewers they sell, which led to a perfect cook. The meat tasted amazing and I can’t wait to try the other cuts I purchased there as well. Definitely going to be going back
