At the foot of MT Shasta, in a town of the same name is a Tire and Auto Service business that I had need to visit. I thought a wheel was loose. They immediately checked my tire pressure and jacked my car up for a retork. Fast and efficient. Nate had a great attitude and work ethic. The gal at the front desk was smart and quick on her feet. I don’t give out 5 stars easily but this business is amazing.

I am truly disheartened to write this but unfortunately I think this should be shared. SYNOPSIS: The vehicle was UNSAFE to drive.

About a month ago I went into Mount Shasta to visit my mom, on my way there my tire was making a low humming that progressively got worse as I got closer to Mount Shasta. This was a 7hr drive for me and given the distance I didn't' t feel safe driving back in the condition the car was in. I was able to bring the car into Point S the next day as they had availability. When I got there I told them I thought it was the wheel bearings, and was told they would let me know what was wrong with it.

They came to the conclusion that it was the boots on the wheel that were causing the the noise and that I needed to get those changed but that I would be safe driving back. They were so nice and didn't charge me anything for the diagnostic or anything... I still felt weird about the diagnosis so I called them before leaving Mount Shasta to confirm that they had checked the wheel bearings. They said they did and that the vehicle was safe to drive.

On my way back, again this was a 7hr drive, the noise got progressively worse. When I finally got back I called my regular mechanic and brought my car in. He said the issue was the wheel bearings and that the only safe distance to drive the vehicle would have been a 5 mile radius in town. So basically from home and back to the shop.

For those who don't know, bad wheel bearings can cause serious safety problems. If a bearing fails, the wheel could seize up, causing catastrophic damage and potentially a serious incident. In the worst case, the wheel could rip away from the car. Very disappointing and unfortunately they have lost my and my local family members business.

I had a tire blow out at 3 a.m. on a Thursday morning in Mt. Shasta. EVERY tire shop for miles around, including Redding and Yreka told me it would take 2 days to get me tires. JENNIFER went ALL the extra miles and found my tires and had me on my way to see my family. Point S will be my only stop for tires and alignments from now on. THANKYOU Jennifer and the whole crew at Point S in Mt Shasta----- You are the definition of great customer service

So this review is about 3 weeks too late. But hats off to the owner Randy. Randy has been a wood customer of mine going on the second year in a row. Last year he was one of my best customers. But it doesn't stop there he is very respectful and professional about business, he actually has a big heart from what I seen. But he noticed that I needed tires, and he had told me that the tires were not rated for my kind of work and he said he would check to see if he had some. Which in turn he did. Thats when disaster struck I blew two tires in two days. But Randy being the guy he is told me to bring my pick-up to the shop and he would take care of me. Work was slow so I drove up to Mount Shasta, from Burney CA, and had a set of tires mounted and balanced on my tires at no cost to me, the office staff are extremely friendly and were totally cool with me bringing my leashed Staffordshire terrier, who just wanted attention and he received it from staff and other customers.Yes I traded wood for it and labor, but the fact this man is willing to go out of his way to help someone speaks volume in a small community like Mount Shasta. Randy you are one of a kind and definitely a cornerstone of a community. Thanks for that as a member of this community in the state of Jefferson. I'm very appreciative of you as a human, a customer, and someone I could call you a friend. Sincerely your wood guy Kenny.

Came through just looking to get my front brake pads replaced they ended up replacing the rotors too although I didn’t see much need for it so now I’m down 200$ more, I wish they had communicated better what their plan was, I got quoted roughly 400$ for potentially both front and rear but I knew my back ones were good, still ended up paying roughly 400$ for the front, so, do with that information what you will. I’ll say the staff is friendly as such and I’m sure under different circumstances the experience of waiting some hours would’ve been more enjoyable had I known what was going on.

For the record they did a good job though, for what that may be worth.
