I used to really like and admire this business and they had done incredibly good work for me in the past. However, this last time I put in an order on Tuesday of the week for a poster print for an international conference on the following weekend. The manager of the shop told me it would be done by Thursday. Thursday it wasn't done. Friday it still wasn't done, but I was assured it would be done by Saturday morning. Saturday morning no one was there... finally the manager showed up at noon on Saturday, and acted completely shocked when I mentioned that I needed it before my flight that afternoon. I went in to pick it up and the fellow pictured below said he'd have it ready in a few minutes. After 10 minutes, he came running out, handed me a partially rolled up poster and said, I know you've got a plane to catch (after repeated assurances of "I got you man"). They had always done good work for me in the past so I took it and ran to the airport, barely making the plane because of this delay. When I got to the conference, and put up the poster, the top 1/3 was completely missing, so I took down the poster I had flown across the globe to present. When I went into the shop to get a refund, the same guy told me to apologize to him for embarrassing him. I told him he should apologize, and he said I'm sorry you are too dumb to check the proof. Apparently. Don't be dumb, go somewhere else, this shop is completely undependable. On top of that, the manager acted offended and took a threatening posture as if he was going to come and fight me. Seriously, stay away from this shop. To the owner's credit, when I talked to him on the phone, he was very nice and seemed shocked at the behavior of his employee.

**Update**: responding to the owner reply, for the event in my review, I had called on Wednesday, and the person who replied said that it was Rainer Copy and Print. Thus, the review is still applicable.

I wanted to check this place out for Canadian Passport photos, as I've heard from coworkers that this place did them (though, I will say that those coworkers took such photos several years ago). I was a little wary, due to recent reviews, but I wanted to give this place a shot. I called to check up and see if they could do Canadian Passport photos, and to possibly schedule something for that. Once I mentioned the Canadian Passport Photos, though, the person immediately hung up on me, without even saying anything further. This was immensely disrespectful; I can understand if maybe that's not a service that's offered anymore, but you can still say something about it, instead of just hanging up without any explanation (not even a "goodbye" was given). Maybe the person was having a very bad day, but I don't think that really excuses this behavior; we all have bad days (I suddenly needed to apply for a new passport, so I was not feeling the best, either), but it doesn't mean you get to take it out on others. For some perspective on me, even if the service isn't offered, I feel like a simple, "no, we don't offer that", would have gotten the point across quickly to me, and I'd maybe be open to checking this place again for other services for the future. Now, I don't think I even want to try their other services, given my really poor impression of how they'll cooperate with me (I don't want to deal with that kind of behavior). Once more, if you've been having a hard time recently (and maybe that's the case, given the owner responses to other recent reviews), I totally sympathize with you; I have many friends and family running small businesses who face rough times and struggles to find the success they want. But your best shot at that success is giving some respect and earning the trust of your customers. Please understand this, and work towards it, and I think you'll see better reception and results from that.

I never give bad reviews and my experience calls for it. This was an absolute disaster experience for me. I went there to get a passport size photo taken for my EAD application. The clarity was entirely bad and got rejected in my application. He was confident that the photo will work on any application, but it was worst even the background was not proper. I returned the photos. He promised me he would get me the refund for this. I have waited 2 weeks and after two weeks of calling him he says he cannot refund my money. Please do not go here and waste your money like I did. He charged me $20 for 2 photos which I returned. This doesn’t deserve 1 star too.

Worst experience of my life. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I have printed hundreds and hundreds of signs and banners for over 10 years and over 400 events. I always call a print shop ahead of time (in this case 4 days before the event) and ask if they have the capacity to print 20-30 banners in 3 days. If they say NO, I find another local company. Every company I have worked with has delivered in the time requested EXCEPT this one.

I sent 21 files on a Wednesday to be picked up by EOD Friday. I was assured it was doable. Friday afternoon as I was boarding my plane to Seattle, I got a text message that they wouldn't be ready until 6am SATURDAY. My event started at 11am that day, so of course I was worried that I wouldn't have my signs in time, and I was right.

6am turned to 8am turned to 9am turned to 10am and so on. Only a few banners were completed by 10am, about 4 of them were doubles and there were 3 more pick ups after that. The final banners were eventually placed on the tents at 5:30pm, 90 minutes before the event ended.

The excuses were many. "The files were mislabeled." They were not. They needed 5-7 days turn around. Then why did they take my order if they couldn't do it? "I promise we'll get it done." They didn't. It was an absolute S show.

I am mortified that I had to keep apologizing to the vendors for not having their banners and they lost business because of it.

At no point did they try to make it right. I paid for all of this upfront and they never offered refunds. Its been 4 days since this disaster and I haven't heard anything from them trying to rectify this awful situation they put me in.

I repeat - DO NOT WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE. Unprofessional. Bad customer service. Late on their promises/ deliverables.

This place is truly amazing! Always the friendliness service and a smooth process to print. They get to know you the more you come in and make sure to say hello and ask how you're doing, something that really surprised me. I was shown a immense amount of compassion and kindness when I was going through a rough time, which is going above and beyond - something that is frequently done here. This is my go to shop and Im planning on giving them my business for as long as I live here!

I am giving five stars with the caution that you read ALL the reviews here. Rainier Copy and Print made a transaction right for me so I am satisfied. From my direct observation of other customers, you will likely be ok here if you bring in a basic flyer job and coming back another time is not an issue for you or you need a passport photo. Even still, ask for a proof and steel yourself with a lot of patience. They send jobs out to other print shops which may add another layer of waiting. Similar to other reviewers, I also had prior very positive experiences here years ago. It's clearly under different ownership and coming here is no longer convenient when I factor in all the follow up now required.

Great service, turnaround and quality! And the pricing, compared to other local banner shops I contacted locally, was great!

Rainier Copy and Print stands out. You can reach a smart person very simply by phone. If you have questions, in this time where there are large, impersonal web sources with endless phone trees or chatbots, it's a pleasure to talk with the person who is working on your project.

The color quality is excellent, and your job can be customized as you request.

I plan to be a returning customer the next opportunity requiring their services arises, and recommend them to others.
