Locally Owned and operated. Brad the Butcher has been in the business for over 30 years as a butcher. They offer the freshest meat in town! They carry beef, pork, chicken, seafood and Boars Head Meats and Cheeses. They have delish home cooked Daily Specials and 2 for $7.00 BLT Friday is the best! Customer Service 10, Friendly Staff 10, Great Deals 10, Amazing Taste 10!!

Website is worthless. Not even sure why they have one. Seems like it hasn't been updated since February. I guess I'll try to call or see if I can stop in and I'll update then.

Update 10/8/2024
I called ahead to order the ground beef bundle. Told me it would be ready the next day by 5pm. Showed up at 5:10pm and it was not and no one working knew anything about it. So the nice gentlemen pulled all of it from the freezer and stuffed it in those flimsy bags they have. A box would have been a better option. But then him not the last working even knew they offered a ground beef bundle of that size nor what the cost of it was. Would really love to be able to order ahead so I don't have to rush after work to get there before closing and hope that they have what I need because it seems they often sell out of certain items. A better website would be nice. Or just to be able to phone ahead and know that your order is actually being taken and fulfilled. Also be great if they offered more bundles. The monthly deal is cool but it's the only option. Most places have 2 or 3 permanent bundles they offer and will even let you substitute a couple items as long as you don't go overboard with it.

All that being said...the store was very tidy, sanitary and well organized. The 2 employees were very kind and attentive. Everything we have cooked so far has been good and seems to be better quality than grocery store meat.

I'm sure I will go back in the future but I would go more often if the things I mentioned above were implicated. Overall a decent place.

We were absolutely blown away by Maxwell Meats! All locally sourced meats, stunning packaging and labels, excellent pricing, a super clean store and best of all the friendly and welcoming staff! The portion sizes varied from large family down to single person servings which is also great when I'm shopping for my family along with my mom who lives alone. We will be exclusively buying our meat here from now on!

The past 2 times in the afternoon male waited on me and I asked if I could get a Flank steak ran through the tenderize and he stated no, they were grinding meat in the back. He did not check with people in the back like previous employees did as I have had this done in the past. I also asked if I could get boneless pork ribs and he said you can order but in past other employee would ask and they did it while I was there. I can go to Wal-Mart and get boneless pork ribs but I like their quality of meat and service in the past.
