My father unexpectedly passed away in December and we had one appointment with a mortuary due to travel constraints. Rebecca met with us and unfortunately, she was callous and rude. Her bedside manner for the bereaved has something to be desired. The other people at McCormick and son were very nice, and we had good experiences with them, but I had multiple experiences with Rebecca that were unprofessional and rude.
During our initial meeting, she said I would “make things worse” if I tried to help or get involved with the planning. If we had more time to interview more mortuaries, I would not have gone with this one.
She waited until the last minute to reach out to the honor guard for my father’s military tribute, and it was a source of stress while trying to finish his memorial plans.
She also mentioned multiple times that she doesn’t mind working in this business because “She doesn’t lose her father every day“.
There’s a certain graciousness and kindness that needs to come along with this line of business. Unfortunately, she does not have the skills to work in this industry.
The other ladies that helped us during our fathers cremation were lovely and kind and everything you would have expected during this process.

Honestly, in a time of sorrow, McCormick & Son goes above and beyond to comfort the family. They make the process easy and take care of all arrangements that a grieving family would need. I cannot say enough good things about the helpful staff, especially Michael and Stacie. Thank you all for taking care of my father.

Could not be more pleased with the handling of a cherished family member...Cassandra was especially kind and helpful. She devoted time to make certain we understood every step, and processed every issue, on time with efficiently.

She put our family at peace, knowing our loved one was handled with the utmost care and dignity.

Obviously, cost always comes into play, and McCormick saved us several thousand dollars, which in the end, was helpful to both his wife and daughter. Our family was very grateful to have McCormicks kind help and we can highly recommend.

McCormick and Son Mortuary has the most caring and dedicated staff especially Freddie. The day of my cousin Jennifer’s service we were all so nervous because we had never dealt with a loss so dear to us, we asked Freddie so many questions, and he had answers. I was amazed at the level of care, dedication, and extreme professionalism. It’s so important to have a high level of care and guidance. Lastly, the flower tribute offered to us was so special. I can’t say thank you enough.

What can I possibly ever say or do to repay McCormick & Son for EVERYTHING they did for our family. They were more than accommodating, understanding, helpful, empathetic, the list goes on. Dealing with a loved one passing is already hard on its own but having McCormick & Son to help ease the process and help the transition run smoother was a blessing to our family. My father passed away in January after a brief illness. His passing wasn't really expected so I had to scramble to get things done. My father was a retired Marine and qualified for Veterans benefits and burial in a National Cemetery. I saw on McCormick's website that they were familiar with the process so I gave them a call. I initially spoke with Joel and he was fantastic to deal with. He took the time to answer all my questions even though I was a little scatter-brained at the time. The next day I went into the mortuary with my mother and we spoke with Rebecca McCormick. She was polite, understanding and caring through the entire process which went off seamlessly. Quite frankly it was easier, smoother and less expensive that I had expected. I highly recommend their services.
