CI user of AB since 1999. They have abandoned us users by phasing out our only good compatible CIs, the harmony, which they said was out of stock over a year. They forced an upgrade to their very poorly thought out Chorus which has drastically affected my lifestyle in a negative way. If you’re looking at this company to be implanted, 15 years later and they’ll phase you too out leaving you with very outdated tech. I have many friends with CIs and you’d be better off with Cochlear America or other companies.

We have a 6yo son implanted with Advanced Bionics cochlear implants, they recently informed us that the electrodes are malfunctioning and we need to re-implant our son soon, we were devastating with this news and AB assured us that they will take care of us as much as they can and although it doesn’t take the hardship of going through surgery it does help financially, that was until we found out that they will only give us the electrodes and not the whole package of electrodes and processors that is the normal process when a kid in implanted for the first time, we reach out to them and nothing, is truly sad, all the good they can bring to people’s lives with this amazing technology that they no longer treat us as person but profits for the company and is only about how is the easiest way to cut expenses even though we’re talking about, in this case, little kids.
