Pretty good selection of meat's, fairly priced for the quality as well. The frozen section is also nice, they have prime steaks, Excellent pre pattied burgers as well as spices. The fresh section is really cool, mainly because it's in a walk in! My favorite things are the beef sticks, they're to die for. They occasionally have smoked beef bones for dogs, my pup loves em. I can't comment on their processing, but I'm sure it amazing. If you're looking for a nice place to pick up some meats, then check it out, just remember to leave me some!

The blonde lady with short hair in the front is way too serious, doesn't smile and very uptight. People want to feel good spending there hard earned money at local businesses.
There selection is ok. Some certain meats like waygu they don't carry. If you want to deal with people who are uptight and not very friendly go here. Otherwise purchase your meat online and have it shipped.

I needed a Brisket. Not any Brisket, but one that would be worthy of a Christmas Dinner. I could have gone several other places here in Lafayette. I had not tried Butlers before. I walked in to Butlers on the Thursday before Christmas. I asked if they had a brisket. I was ushered into the cooler and shown their briskets in stock. I chose a beautiful, 7.5lb "Point" cut. When I got it home, I prepared the cut for my cook and actually started the 48 hour "Sous Vide" cook on Saturday morning. On Christmas Morning, at 7am I loaded it into the smoker and smoked it for 3 hours. At 10am I wrapped it in foil and then a towel and placed it in a cooler. 3 hours later it was carved and served to my friends and family. Wow, melt in your mouth brisket. A great outcome needs to start with a quality cut of meat. I'll be buying more from Butlers. Can I post a picture?

Not sure how to give a 5 star review without limiting my future buying needs, but ...
This is GOOD meat! I had the ribeye today. 1.25" thick, cooked on the weber grill, 350 degrees for 8 minutes each side- indirect heat, plus 3 minute sear each side and a 5 minute rest in foil. I'm a fan of beef tenderloin and ribeye and have never tasted better than this. Please leave some for me 🙂 See Weber website for reverse sear instructions. Awesome outcome!!
Being an old guy I've learned a couple things over the years... Don't shop for beef at Omaha Steaks when you're in the heart of beef production country and don't buy from refrigerated box trucks at the mall. Buetler meats is now on my radar 🙂
