Really cute brewery on the Cartecay River in Ellijay, GA. I enjoyed an imperial IPA, and my wife had their Pina colada slushy. They have a small stage outside.

Nice brewery! Had two beers while here; a Hefeweizen and a DIPA..both were tasty for their style. The mojo of the place is solid and the staff are very friendly. I only saw one gender neutral bathroom while here, but it was clean and well-kept. There’s a paved parking lot and a gravel lot right next to it so you shouldn’t have trouble finding a spot. The outdoor area is cozy being right next to the river, and the inside has games both physical and electronic. The taplist is solid too. Good place to check out if in the area.

This was such a great brewery, with so many game options it is absolutely a spot to hit with your friends. The beer selection was solid, very respectable options.

We were coming from out of town, and will definitely save this spot for next time we are in Ellijay.

Cartecay River Brewing was a lot more than we were expecting. The brewery is good sized with both indoor and outdoor areas. Indoors they had pinball, arcade, and video games that were all free. Outdoors there was a nice view of the namesake river. They had an average number of beers on tap in several different styles. What we tried was good. We also picked up bottles that weren't on tap to try. In the middle of all the wineries we didn't expect to find such a good brewery. They have a great atmosphere and good beers. They were even kind enough to can a few beers for us they normally carry that were out of stock.

Had a great time visiting and was hoping for a tour of the brewery but sadly they did not do tours. Great place for larger groups but bring food or snacks. When we went they only had beef jerky. Decent selection of beer and family friendly. Tip, you can check out the beers on untapped.

Literally every beer I had was amazing. Lots of creative styles and ABV. The inside decor is very chill with darts and an indoor shuffleboard. All the chairs have soft seating which means you can sit painless for hours.

Parking is limited so get here early.

We had a free afternoon in Ellijay, Georgia, so we decided to check out this brewery. It was located a little off the beaten path, so a little less crowded and parking was easy. I prefer cozy rustic bars over the open-air industrial warehouse atmosphere, so the small local atmsphere of this brewery was perfect to me. But dont let the size fool you, they had a good selection of beers, about 18 taps, i think. I don't usually drink fruity beers, but the bartender gave me a taste of a summertime seltzer: wild raspberry hibiscus, and it really refreshing. It was also a pretty pink color. My husband had a Bobcat Ultra Blond, a Kolsch. The beers were so good, we had two! Good service, good beer, and a really nice patio next to the Cartecay River.
If I were a local, this would be my go-to place for an afternoon beer.

We love this place, and the beer and salter is outstanding plus they have great. Adrian Stover was there tonight for his birthday? His band is excellent definitely a great place to be. I encourage everyone to go.
