this location is pretty nice clean and organized it helps that they have a contractors only desk for regular stuff and also one for landscaping so it makes it easier to pay for regular customers always friendly people and buch of stuff avilable great place however the contractors desk is by far nicer people than the landscape and front desk when it comes to being nice if they know you you'd get a smile otherwise you're just there

Bunch of crooks. I Purchased a sump pump for a job we were doing nearby. Tried to use it and it was not adequate for what it was advertised for. I attempted to return it within an hour and the manager rudely argues with me about how all sales are final and it’s up to them if they want to take any returns. As far as I’m concerned, she say on the sales are final…. It makes sense why these small businesses are getting overrun by big department stores like Home Depot.

Incredible guy (Paul) helped me just now. We had purchased a knife and (separately) a blade protector from the Culinary Institute of America just up the street. The blade protector needed to be cut at an angle slightly in order to cover the blade properly.
I tried Steve's Hardware but was a bit rudely told they didn't want the liability as I didn't purchase it there. So we went to Central Valley Building Supply. Paul was quite simply the kind of guy you hope to have as a neighbor.
On top of cutting the cover precisely and angling it perfectly, he also filed it smooth! The topper NO charge!!
I didn't know they made companies like that anymore.

The fact that this place does not have bags is ridiculous. Trying to keep all your small parts together and not lose them in your truck on your way back to the job is an inconvenience. They make their old cardboard boxes available to you and then you have to get rid of them - stupid crazy. One more reason to go to Home Depot instead

This place has a good selection of building products. Unfortunately they close very early and are a bit over priced. Since they are up valley they have little competition.
