⚠️Do not order from these incompetent people. They are running under several business names and seem to accuse most people who complain of being scammers. Well it takes one to know one! ⚠️

My best friends from another country ordered the Basket of Joy to be delivered on my birthday. When it didn’t arrive, I had to contact Foster City Florist/Menlo Park Florist/Cindys multiple times over multiple days about where the order is and when to expect it.

It was delivered 2 weeks late, at 9pm () and none of the plants were what was described in the Basket of Joy.

Again I contacted them questioning why that would be, but to be honest at this point I’m just glad something arrived! I wanted to know what plants were in the basket so I could give them proper care (it arrived with no information whatsoever) and this weird guy answered the phone and started saying that one of them was a snake plant, and saying that they’re great detoxifiers and air purifiers… what? I’m no florist but a snake plant isn’t hard to identify, and this for sure isn’t a snake plant. I said it looks like an orchid, he screamed down the phone at me all defensive, saying he would never send out an orchid with no flowers on and ‘so you think you know better than me?’ and refused to give me any more info.

I called a different number associated with this strange business and a woman answered. I asked for the info for the plants, sent photos over email (which was to Mariedes and Menlo Park Ades, who both have conveniently reviewed this place with 5 ⭐️) and got info for 2/3 of the plants.

I’d already PlantID’d them so I knew that already, but one of the plants was unidentifiable. The woman I spoke to said they’re trying to figure out what it is.

I’m sorry but what? You don’t know 1) what plants you receive and 2) what they are when you send them out?

The unidentified plant is not doing well, and no one can identify it to be able to give it proper care.

After waiting another several weeks to hear back, I requested they refund my friend for not delivering what was ordered, for the poor health of one of the plants, and for the hassle and problems they’ve given me. I doubt they have done that.

They seem to be running under 3 business names - beware!

It’s a real shame they’re so incompetent, I just hope no one else orders from them!!

I intended for this to be private, I wanted to speak directly with the florist, however, they're not answering my calls. Additionally, I can't comment on what fresh flowers would have looked like due to this ordeal. Update: I added pics, you can see that what I ordered and what was received were not the same.

I ordered flowers as a get well soon gift. The recipient was sick at home and obviously resting (so not checking their phone and not getting the door). The flowers were not delivered properly. They were left on top of the backyard fence by the garage and not at the front door. I guess the delivery driver was confused. The house is on the corner, but if they had looked on the other side they would have seen the entry door. The delivery person had called the sick person, but the sick person was unable to respond.

The flowers were left at 5:00 p.m. I didn't know where they were placed and hadn't heard anything so I called the florist the next morning. The florist was able to figure out that the flowers were not put at the door and offered to go back and bring the flowers to the front. In the meantime, the sick recipient recovered and was able to locate the flowers. But the flowers had been outside all evening and all night!

I was unhappy with the service rendered and how the flowers were affected by being out. I called the florist back and after reintroducing myself THEY HUNG UP THE PHONE! I thought perhaps the call dropped and called again but no one ever picked up.

The person who I spoke to on the phone was originally apologetic, understanding, and tried to resolve things by driving over. So when I followed the advice in their email which says, 'If we didn't meet your expectations, please don't hesitate to contact us.', I was surprised they didn't let me finish my sentence.

I don't think I would ever use this florist again, I don't think they'd let me since they're not taking my calls.

And weird tid-bit, looks like there was a business name change Cindy's Fresh Flowers/Menlo Florist. However, the phone number associated with this business is the same.

My Experience with Cindy’s/Menlo Park Florist

Update: My niece liked it, did not love it. I mentioned in my review I said not to exchange it. I should have asked to exchange it, my mistake. If I got the right flowers delivered in the first place, I would not have to write this 1 star review. I felt completely gaslighted with my conversations with this florist. It was all very bizarre.

Short Version: I paid $102.81 for a flower arrangement I didn’t order, with no styling whatsoever. It looked like roses were just thrown into a box—something I could have done for less than half the cost, including delivery.

Long Version:
Despite reading mixed reviews, I wanted to give this florist a chance since I saw a beautiful arrangement I thought would make a perfect birthday gift. I called on Monday, October 28, 2024, to order the “Rustic Radiance” arrangement with a tin of cookies, specifically asking if they could deliver to a college dorm. No price was quoted during the call. Later that evening, noticing no charge on my card, I emailed them to confirm the order and asked for a receipt. I received no response.

The following day, October 29, I called again to verify the order. The florist assured me they would only charge the card after delivery. On Wednesday, October 30, I checked with the recipient, who confirmed they received flowers but no cookies. The flowers were entirely different from what I’d ordered. When I called the florist, she claimed she thought I said “Rustic Roses” instead of “Rustic Radiance” and insisted that what she sent was even more expensive than what I ordered. I pointed out that I had emailed specifying “Rustic Radiance.” She offered to resend the correct flowers, but I declined, as the recipient liked what they had already received. When I mentioned the missing cookies, she claimed she had tied them onto the arrangement herself and suggested they must have been stolen.

I looked up the prices on their website and found out that “Rustic Radiance” is actually $10 more than the flowers I received. On October 31, due to all these mishaps, I emailed again to find out what she planned to charge me, wondering if perhaps I should have demanded a substantial discount given the issues. Finally, on November 1, I saw a charge of $102.81 on my card. She claimed it was a “discount” of $69 for flowers, $25 for delivery, plus tax, and assured me she wasn’t charging for the cookies. I reiterated that the cookies were never delivered, but she insisted they were. She then offered to deliver the cookies herself on November 1, but as of today, November 3, they still haven’t arrived. At this point, I doubt they ever will.

In Summary:
- No price was quoted up front
- Delivered the wrong arrangement
- Claimed the arrangement was more expensive than what I ordered
- Ignored my email specifying the correct order
- Claimed the cookies were “stolen”
- Offered to re-deliver the cookies but never did
- Ultimately paid over $100 for unarranged flowers in a box

Mixed Experience with This Florist

While I eventually received the replacement bouquet I was promised, my overall experience with this florist was frustrating. The original bouquet arrived late and did not match the premium option I paid for. After reaching out multiple times and following up with calls, the replacement took several days to be delivered. Communication throughout the process was challenging, and I felt my concerns were not taken seriously at times.

I appreciate that they eventually fulfilled their promise and delivered the replacement bouquet, but the time and effort it took to resolve the issue left me disappointed. I hope the store can improve its customer service and communication in the future to prevent similar situations.

If you’re considering buying flowers here, I would recommend confirming details carefully and being prepared to follow up if needed.

I had the WORST experience with Cindy’s Floral shop. I’m a college student and plant mom and when campus closed over break I was looking for a place to keep my plants safe. I trusted Cindy and that was the worst mistake ever. She took my money and killed or damaged all of my plants. When I asked what happened, she was rude, lied, and gaslit me. I’ve attached pictures of the before (December 22) and after Cindy’s care (Jan 10th). I left them with her for about 3 weeks and I’ve NEVER seen such destruction. Not to mention they reek of dog. I’ve owned these plants for 2+ years and traveled cross country with them and they’ve never looked like this. Most of them I grew from cuttings my siblings gave me or they were gifts from friends and family. I’m heartbroken. This has been a horrible experience (I have more pictures too)

DO NOT ORDER FLOWERS FROM HERE‼️
I recently discovered that this flower shop is exploiting migrant workers and fails to pay them at all! To make matters worse, the owner refuses to address these serious concerns. Cindy hired my friend when she was doing a DoorDash delivery for her and told her she would pay her $20 per delivery in the Peninsula, San Jose and San Francisco, Wasting her own gas and money never paid! We have everything in writing from Cindy agreeing to pay. This is not how any business should operate, and I cannot in good conscience support a shop that treats its workers unjustly. I hope the management takes accountability and remedies this situation immediately. Until then, I strongly advise others to take their business elsewhere

We received a flower arrangement late Sunday afternoon. It was supposed to arrive on Saturday. The person who sent us the flowers called Cindy and she said a delivery attempt was made Sunday morning but we were not home. Not true. We did not see any delivery person on our Nest camera. The flowers arrived late Sunday afternoon. The delivery person made sure to take a picture of the arrangement on our porch but did not ring our doorbell.

The arrangement looks like a sad assortment of wilted flowers from a budget supermarket. We receive and order florist quality arrangements fairly often (maybe 4-6x/year) and this pales in comparison. These are poor quality, puny, inexpensive flowers -carnations, daffodils, purple statice, tulips, stock and a few others. The arrangement is currently next to a $15 mixed bouquet from Trader Joe's and it looks wimpy and sad by comparison.

I've texted Cindy via the "message me" feature on Google maps and have not heard back yet. I decided to leave a review because I read in other reviews that texts go unanswered.

The website states that satisfaction is guaranteed but reading these other reviews gives me little hope of correcting the situation.

Just awful. I ordered and paid for a deluxe Christmas arrangement from Teleflora and this is what this florist (operating at losaltosflowersonline which has the same address of 1539 Laurel Place, Menlo Park) - thought was acceptable to send. I am so disappointed.
