I got a bill for $1,800 dollars. My most expensive bill ever (since Feb. 2021) was $117. I called and they said it was a leak from 12/1/2024 to 1/2/2025. There was no visible leak (especially of that magnitude) so I called my plumber to make sure it wasn’t one I couldn’t see (maybe foundational). My plumber came, checked my house out and said there was no active leak and no signs of a recent, very large one. He noted this on my invoice which I then forwarded to EMWD. They gave me a ā€œcourtesy creditā€ that brought down my bill to $540. They expect me to be happy with this but I am furious. How can they claim there was a leak that totaled $1,800 and refuse to send someone to verify the meter or look for the leak? I did not choose this company, they have zero incentive to treat their customers well. I would say don’t choose them but we have no choice, at least not yet.

The goddamn website NEVER works. I am sick and tired of always having to call to find out what my bill is for the month. I don't know why they don't have an app like every other utility company.

I hate them so much. My bill is coming out to a $ 1000 a month. Because there are saying there is a leak and a constant water usage. I had a plumber come out they told me that they did not find no leak. There even drilled underground to check this. And then I call two people tell me there that there is no constant water usage and everything looks normal water usage. And then some else says that there is so much water usage and never stops. Now i'm getting two different storys. They even sent a tech out to see if there is something wrong with my meter. And when he comes he said everything is working and see no high water usage being used that it looks like a normal amount. Now I have to take this to small claims . Because they are trying to scam people. They are the worst.

It's impossible to pay your bill online. The website never works and gives a message saying IT was notified about the issue, yet the issue persists for months on end. Paying by phone is awful. You are never able to speak with an employee, and the AI registers extra numbers so you keep having to re-input them several times and the call ends up taking 15-20 minutes.

Moved into a new place and was told to turn on services 24 hours before lease start. I did so with all utilities. Didn’t realize till I moved into the property the next day that water was shut off to the property. I call and they say there’s a past due balance from a past tenant and water can’t be restored until the bill is paid. I call the property management company and they say it’s taken care of. Was told I had to wait the weekend and Labor Day holiday without water since it wasn’t dealt with earlier. That means no toilets, no showers, no drinks, no dishes no nothing for four days. Finally Tuesday morning I call and they say that there’s an alert on the account due to the past due from the past tenants. Property management has to call them again. I call again and they say water is to be turned on same day. We are now Wednesday, literally five days with six kids and over 100 degrees out with zero water. They still haven’t turned it on!! This is inhumane! Who do I contact to have water restored to a property that I just moved into! This shouldn’t be legal!!

Have autopay setup. Changed the card on the account because the other one was compromised so the bank sent me a new card. Account didn’t autopay that month and I didn’t find out until I got a bill with a $25 late charge. Why the new card wasn’t charged is beyond me but the website looks like something I built in middle school so maybe that has something to do with it.

I called today. They said they can get someone out within 72 hours. If it is a water box problem I will not have to pay for the water pouring out but if it is my irrigation line then I have to pay for it. Why can't they just tell me the problem so it can get fixed and I'm wasting all this water.

Despite the fact that I use my property solely as an office and do not consume water there, I have been receiving excessively high water bills every month.

When I initially contacted the company to address this issue, they informed me that I would have to pay for someone to investigate. Due to the high costs, I decided to disconnect the water service to the office entirely. However, even after disconnection, I continued to receive bills indicating water usage.

I called the company again to clarify how there could be water usage if the service was disconnected. They finally sent someone to investigate, and it was discovered that a broken valve had been leaking water, causing the meter to read usage inaccurately. This issue persisted for a year and a half, during which I was overcharged significantly.

Despite this clear error on their part, the company has refused to refund any of the money I was overcharged. This level of service and accountability is completely unacceptable.
