I am extremely disappointed with my purchase at this market.
As I was looking for bell peppers, someone from the back came out. I don't know if he was the manager or the owner. He offered me a small bag of mini bell peppers for $2.00. I thought that he was being kind and honest, so I made the purchase.
As I was starting to prep for dinner, I noticed that the bell peppers looked old, and then I went ahead and cut them. I confirmed that they were very old. They were paper thin, and the stem was very dry.
I wanted to believe that they were eatable, but unfortunately, the bell peppers belonged in the trash from the very beginning.
My dinner got completely ruined.
The last picture shows a yellow bell pepper that I bought somewhere else. It can easily be observed how a bell pepper should look like. It is not dry nor paper thin. It is fresh, not old. Old vegetables belong in the trash can. Having them for sale is just an attempt to rip off the customer; very bad business practice.
The man who offered me the bag of bell peppers knew very well that they were very old.
I don't know why some business owners go to the extreme to make a couple of dollars, knowing that they are taking advantage of the customers while the transaction is taking place.
I live nearby, and I was trying to support local businesses, but most times, it is a regrettable experience.
I would rather drive miles to get a better quality item and service than continue to waste time and money locally. I regret 100% going to this place, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Been coming here for at least 10 years. This place NEVER let's me down with their selection of meats.
But their short ribs....... Dang...

I really like this place. It's a small market focusing mostly on their meat. Meat here is always fresh and their marinated carne asada meat is incomparable. They also have fresh vegetables, juices, milk. They make their own salsas, ceviche, beans, guacamole, chips. Their guacamole is not watered down and it's delicious. I highly recommend this small market. I have been coming here for about 15 years!

This carniceria is THE PLACE for your meats for BBQs! Try their POLLO PREPARADO or their RANCHERA ASADA! I always get props for my meats (thanks to El Chymal)! Try them!!
