Mike took great care of us! We sat with Mike under the patio and got to try some delicious Zinfandel. Excellent experience and beautiful property with smaller batch wines. You could tell that there is a lot of pride in the wine here. This was a highlight on our RRV trip. Thank you, Mike, for your kindness, storytelling, and knowledge about the wine!

If you like Zinfandel wine ... you'll LOVE Gamba Zinfandel wines. From the on-site tastings to the beautiful vineyards to every bottle I have enjoyed over the years ... Gamba is absolutely delicious!!!

The most wonderful, pleasant, comprehensive, humorous experience! Michael (a winemaker/farmer/realist) was probably the best person we met in all of the vineyards we went to. I cannot stress enough that you MUST make the stop with Gamba vineyards and San Miguel. A private table with a private tasting.

We loved our experience at Gamba! During our visit, my husband and I loved tasting through the lineup of wines. We weren't as familiar with Zinfandel prior to our tasting, but we came away with a whole new knowledge and appreciation for the grape, and it has quickly become one of our favorite varietals! We especially loved supporting a small, family owned business, and are so happy to recommend Gamba to all of our friends who are visiting Sonoma County.

I'm excited to share and rave about our amazing experience at Gamba Winery! We truly felt welcome from the first call to schedule the appointment when they went out of their way to fit us in, to the moment we arrived, they provided amazing service. Gamba is a small, family owned winery and it is very apparent that they strive to provide a unique, educational and fun experience. Not to mention the wines are incredible! Make sure you ask to try the MCM Zinfandel which is from the estate vineyard planted over 100 years ago. What a treat to taste from such a historic site. A hidden gem in the Russian River Valley!

I don't usually write reviews, but this was an extraordinary experience! We had the best time at this small, family owned winery in Russian River Valley. Gus, the winemaker, is extremely knowledgeable and approachable. He was very generous with his time and knowledge about wine, as well as his experience as a seventh generation wine grape grower. The entire experience was so informative while also being relaxing and fun. Sitting among the 120 year old vines was amazing! And the wines are incredible. We started with a sparking and tasted through a variety of wines-Old Vine Zinfandel being their specialty- and ended with an amazing Cab. We had a group of 6 and we all agreed it was the best tasting of our trip. Can't wait to visit again and bring more friends to this beautiful winery!

I am seldom so blown away that I am compelled to post a review that is positive. Unfortunately, it is the negative experiences that usually prompt me to leave a review. Happily, that is not the case here. Took some out of town guests to Gamba Vineyards in the Russian River valley (that’s the appellation) because they are Zinfandel nuts, and I had heard and read good things about Gamba Zinfandel, and I was not mistaken. The Zins are sublime, as expected - but the big surprise was the Etrusca label. We especially enjoyed the Rose and Cabernet, but all were delicious and well rounded. Also, it’s fun to visit an actual family vineyard. We learned that vineyard has been producing for 125 years but also that it’s been in the same family - now under the brilliant stewardship of Gus and his family. Also, I would like to give a shout out to our host, Mike. He was knowledgeable, funny and super informative. To paraphrase Arnold Schwarzenegger, we’ll be back!
