I work for a family foundation who supports the mission work of many different non-profits. It is very important for non-profits to be able to tell their story of help and hope that inspires others to give. We have hired Michael Gier of Gier Productions several times to produce and film the stories of the non-profits we work with in the community. In each case, his final video product accurately depicts the story of each client in a very inspiring way. If I could give six stars here, I would. My company’s engagement with Silver Dove Productions exceeded expectations on so many levels. Our corporate headquarters and much of our creative decision-making is centered in Beijing, which could easily have created a gap in communication. At every stage of the process, however, Silver Dove made immense effort to ensure a shared understanding of our executive vision as well as any potential constraints to execution of that vision. As this was our first foray into a U.S.-based commercial shoot, Michael took considerable care in explaining all logistics and asking key questions even from our first inquiry phone call as we were still “shopping around.”
Michael was consistently accessible, prompt, and thorough in his communication. His attention to detail and flexibility in forging a video that would most appropriately balance our executive goals with our budget realities was a major factor in our selection of Silver Dove and, ultimately, a critical driver of our satisfaction with the process as a whole. Along the way, he offered valuable insights and suggestions for creative value adds rooted in his years of industry experience. We were quite pleased with Michael’s professionalism in orchestrating a fast-paced and efficient day of auditions for nearly 100 actors and actresses and eventually helping us narrow the pool of acting talent down to the right group of 11 that we needed for our commercial. We were fortunate to have three of our executives on-site for the day of the commercial shoot, and we were each impressed with the team of videography and photography professionals Michael had assembled as well as the three locations he had secured on our behalf.
Thanks to Silver Dove’s careful foreplanning, the shoot came together as seamlessly as we could have hoped, and we secured all footage in an extended single day. Given some tight internal time frames our company was facing, we were especially grateful that Silver Dove was able to complete the initial and final editing rounds much faster than the turnaround times we had been quoted by most other video production companies. The final video reflected an extremely high level of quality, professionalism, and attention to our company’s specific needs, and we hope to have an opportunity to collaborate with Silver Dove again on future projects.

Silver Dove produced a surprise video for our 50th Anniversary and it was world class. The crowd of 125 people roared and ended with numerous standing ovations. It was clever, creative, polished and highly professional. And he had minimal talent to work with…..ME!
I thought of submitting it for an Academy Award, but my wife said I was crazy!! Either way, Michael is a pro and I would love to hire him again!!!
