We brought our car to the service department for a warranty repair. While the repair itself was completed as expected, the communication throughout the process was lacking.

Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse when we went to pick up the vehicle. The driver-side window was visibly damaged--completely tilted sideways inside the door (photos attached for reference).

The staff initially denied responsibility and insisted the window must have already been like that, attempting to send us home with the car in that condition. I couldn't reach my service representative at the time, so I called the next day and spoke with a manager. He maintained that they didn't cause the damage and quoted us $1,200 for the repair.

When we dropped the car off, the window worked perfectly and was in the door correctly. The fact that they expected us to accept the vehicle with such obvious damage, and without accountability or acknowledgement, was incredibly frustrating. At first, they claimed they never touched the window--then admitted it may have been rolled down slightly.

We may never know exactly what happened to our window, but their lack of communication, transparency, and refusal to take responsibility is unacceptable. I don't think we should get this repair for free by any means but they blamed us and seemed not to care.

I would strongly caution anyone considering bringing their vehicle here. Based on our experience, once your car is in their hands, they won't stand behind what happens to it. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Hudson, you’re the man, buddy! 😎
Yesterday I went to check out the 2018 Audi SQ5 that the dealership had just received. After calling to set a time for my visit, I arrived and was welcomed by Hudson, the salesman. His professional attitude and compliments on my current vehicle really stood out and showed his expertise.(he has a sick ride too, trust me I know😄)

I test-drove the car and liked it a lot. We then sat down to discuss the numbers and my trade-in value. Hudson's communication skills were excellent; he explored every option to make the deal happen and worked closely with his manager. In the end, we agreed on a good price.

Not only did he manage to get me the price I wanted (even a discount in this crazy market!), but he also made sure I was completely comfortable and satisfied with my deal. There was no pressure to purchase additional packages, which I appreciated. I drove away with both the car and the deal I wanted.

A huge shout-out to Demetrio, the manager, who followed up to ensure everything went smoothly, and to JJ, who was humble and nice during our brief interaction.

Overall, the team at this dealership is fantastic and easy to work with. I’m a returning customer now, especially if I ever decide to get an electric car(which, just to clarify, I do not! JK! 😄😅).

From the moment I arrived and began working with James, at the front counter, everything went as smoothly as it could. He gave me an estimate of about two to two and a half hours, so I was able to take a walk close by and get some breakfast, and then when I returned I was able to sit in there comfortable, and warm, lounge until my car was ready. They even cleaned and washed it for me.

UPDATE (2/18/2025): I've continued working with James, and had to return for a third visit (I'm doing the oil consumption test), and he was able to secure me a loaner vehicle for the day or two that they will need to take pictures of my engine in order to get an engine soak approved. I'm sure I will be back for a new engine assessment - and hopefully approval - and I look forward to working with James again. So far this process has been smooth and productive, and I know Hyundai will take care of me and my car and do what needs to be done. Thank you James and Laguna Niguel Hyundai service department!

FINAL UPDATE: Jim Contreras, at Hyundai of LN, and Hyundai in general, came through for me. They approved me for a new engine block, and when Jim called me to let me know, I went over there and was given a loaner car, and he let me know that it would take some time. (I picked up the loaner car and dropped off my Hyundai Sonata SE on Thursday, March 20th, and was told that my car would likely be ready the following week on Wednesday. Luckily, the guys at Hyundai of LN are dedicated and I received a call Friday late afternoon, that my car was ready and I could pick it up either before they closed or on Saturday. I just picked it up and it is running beautifully. Thank you to everyone at Hyundai of LN!

Definitely 10 out of 10 service. I an now a first time owner of a Hyundai and Mia took superb care of me. She listened to my needs and went well above and beyond to ensure I got the best of everything. The entire team helped out when the only option, in the color I wanted, ended up being hours (many hours) away. They took care of all the details and delivered as promised. Fantastic experience! Did the deal and signing electronically. It was so simple. They even offered to deliver our new car to our home. We decided to pick it up in person and they had it ready with the big bow. So fun!! We are a repeat customer...we just got our 3rd Santa Fe. Love the new design and roomier interior. It is quite upgraded from our 2019 Santa Fe. And love the new matte finish. The sales team of Valerio and Alicia were great. We had so much fun getting our 3rd Santa Fe and the hot chocolate is yummy too while you wait!
