Excellent local community bike shop with used bikes and low prices for service and repair. They do a lot of programs with the community. Their service staff all live in East Palo Alto including many high schoolers and other students. Not a huge selection of bikes but well worth visiting. The entrance can be a bit hard to find as it is around in the back parking lot away from Las Pulgas Ave. If you need to drive a car, best to park on the street and walk back though because there is essentially no general customer parking in the back. But you should just bike there and not drive 🙂

I was looking for a new bike for my daughter at several places. It was difficult as a combination of good fit and her strong opinion about the color/look of the bikes complicated the search.
This shop had a bike from a decent manufacturer that was donated but not yet refurbished and my daughter liked it. They called few days later when it was ready and we picked it up. It was about 1/3 of the price when new and even has a 30 day-mechanical warranty. The bike was fully serviced and chain, brake pads, and handles were new. I encourage everybody to check it out both for finding a new bike and also for donating your old bikes.
Special thanks to Andrew who is incredible nice and personable. He runs the shop with professionalism and a winning smile.

I went and got a rear bike rack for $20, and they installed it for me right there on the spot.

No wait, so the whole process took less than 30 mins.

They are also close to the bay trail, so that's incentive to taking my bike there.
