Metal Werx is always my go-to store for sheet, bar and tube stock in steel or Aluminum. The service is friendly, prices are reasonable, and they're willing to deal with hobbyists or school robotics teams that aren't ordering huge volumes of metal.

I searched the standard online sources for sheet metal for a project. It was a small project, but the prices online were high for the small bit of metal I needed. I went to Metal-Werx and they were very helpful in selecting the right thickness and size for what I needed. Service was top-notch, and the price was VERY reasonable. I'm taking a welding class and went buy to get some metal to practice. They were very helpful and accommodating and had none of the attitude towards amateurs I have experienced in plenty of metal and hardwood yards. He was able to find me some great pieces to work with. They seemed to be well positioned to handle anything from my minimal request to large industry needs. Give them a shot the next time you need some metal!

Have to give them a shoutout for such nice service. We needed tube steel stock at very short notice and my ETA was 30 minutes after their closure time. However, Jay was nice enough to keep the store open for us. Infact, he gave the stock to us for free when he realised we drove from Berkeley. They had various wall thicknesses for the stock and we were able to get the exact OD and ID that we required. Will surely be ordering from them in the future. Highly recommended!
