I really enjoyed playing this course. The staff were very nice and welcoming. The putting green was good and a nice chipping area with plenty of room to move around.
The course is beautiful with amazing ocean views on just about every hole. There are some big elevation changes (which I like). I walked the front 9 during sunset and I loved it!!
Definitely recommend playing Morro Bay!

Plenty of shorebirds and beauty here. Campground is awesome, well taken care of, easy dump station, plenty of water spigots, fantastic showers and restrooms. Three miles to Morro Rock, 1/2 mile to a full service restaurant and kayak rentals.

Pet friendly trails nearby.

Generators ok 10am - 8pm though close proximity to neighbors means use with discretion.

We were traveling from Santa Barbara to Carmel-by-the-Sea and stopped to eat at a local restaurant and visit this park. The bay's most prominent landmark is Morro Rock (Climbing this landmark is prohibited). Visit the cities website to read more about the history of Morro Rock.

The park is very beautiful but has a DUSTY parking lot during dry summer months😃it also has an area for campers etc. We really enjoyed watching the sea otters. The water is very clear which means undisturbed by humans.

I love the natural habitat and the squirrels will come close which means people have been feeding them. They don’t run when you approach them like squirrels in the wild.

I love the statues of the family waiting for the sailor husband and father to return. There are also benches for those who can’t stand long or just to sit and watch the scenery.

I absolutely enjoyed visiting this park and highly recommend you do the same if in the area.

Dog heaven so my heaven. Great place to paddle board, kayak and the museum is well worth a visit. Nice golf course there as well in close proximity to campsites and water. Cool little trail adjacent to the museum that wraps up above it for a great panoramic view. We enjoyed that as did our dogs. It is quiet on this side. The state park is a great place to stop on your journey.

Sites are super close to each other. Didn't have any problems with neighbors though. Bathroom was a short walk away (and heated?). Could hear the ocean as I slept. Ground is easy enough to drive tent stakes into. Sites come with one bench, and also a fire pit, with room for two cars at a site (extra fee for it though), perfect for a small trailer.
