Good quality scans and good customer service, but getting too expensive for me as a non-professional. I shoot casually with half frames which used to just cost $5 extra. Now it requires a $10 add on.
I understand it is more tedious, but one roll of 35mm cost me $28.98 and the scans still come in doubles at that price.
I have found a cheaper option online but will continually check back here in case they have more competitive pricing in the furure since I prefer to support local businesses.

I've been sending my past couple rolls of film to this photo lab, and they have been consistently excellent at providing me beautifully developed & edited photos! Many of my friends and family have asked me where I get my film developed to get it to look like this. While it is slightly pricier than the typical pharmacy film developing, I can tell there is much more care put into the process with Richard Photo Lab, and the photos turn out significantly better. One thing I will say is the turnaround for film developing can range from just a few days to over a week. But overall, highly recommend.

Found this lab while looking for a place to develop and get scans for 35mm film. The website is well designed and makes the process quite easy. I've also found that it offers competitive prices especially when choosing the "Richard's way" scans. Also sometimes I'll be able to find cheaper film than in other places.

I added to my review some pictures as they came in the file that I could download from the lab, no additional processing. As you can see, their scan results are very good.

Easily my favourite film lab out there. I have been using Richard for years now, and they are consistent and professional in their scanning. The team is easy to work with and they strive to make every scan perfect and to my standards.

Their colours are always spot on, thanks to their attention to detail and expert understanding of the Noritsu and Frontier scanners. The turn around times are some of the best out there and pricing is exactly where I expect it.

For prints, they offer a huge variety of professional paper and framing to choose from and offer convenient drop shipping - especially useful during a pandemic!!

For film professionals, you're not going to find any better than Richard.

I’ve been using RPL since 2009 when it seemed like everyone else was shooting digitally. We created my custom profile after a few wedding film scan orders. My scans and prints have been consistently great, as well as their customer service. They’ve expanded and added additional products and little perks over the years. I can wholeheartedly recommend RPL, especially for film shooters like me.

The best customer service in the game. They keep you informed every step of the way. They're prices are very reasonable for the professional level of service they provide. I have tried nearly all of the big dogs when it comes to process and scan, i am using Richards exclusively now. I can say that i will continue to do so. Pro note* number your rolls, scan in sequence really helps with the record keeping. If i had one suggestion, i would love if they could sleeve my cut negs for an extra fee.
