I have never encountered any issues with this DMV, and I’m very grateful for that. However, sometimes the line gets longer in the afternoon, and it can take up to an hour and a half to reach the front desk. Despite this, the staff is always super helpful with any issues. Once they assist you, they assign you a number, and the wait after that isn’t too long.
You can come after 4 p.m., and the queue usually isn’t too long—about 30 minutes. Yes, they still accept customers as long as you arrive before 5 p.m!

The only thing I’d like to see improved is the attitude of the staff. I understand they might be tired, but it's important to treat clients respectfully. We speak politely, and they should do the same.

So glad I got an appointment. I was done with my DL renewal in about 40 minutes. I was told it is so busy because the Laguna Hills office closed.
The line for those without an appointment was at least 2+ hours long, just to get to the front desk.
Very pleasant staff, not a lot of parking.

I was amazed by the excellence of this office! They have a well-defined process with different windows for different needs - so overall the line moves quickly. The staff, especially receptionist Erica Hernandez, are so friendly and helpful. I'm sending my friends and family here!

7am appointment for real ID, brought necessary papers, I was out by 7:10am!!
Ladies were friendly, helpful, and very organized! Thank you for my first positive DMV experience in years!

Are you kidding me? It took a total of over four yes four hours to get the Real ID. It was over 2 1/2 hours to get a number just to wait over another 1 1/2 hours to process that application. I have it two stars because the employees were reasonable enough. They weren’t that happy to be there either. And thanks for closing the Laguna Hills location just so we could all suffer together.

Absolutely appalling! People were skipping into the appointment line who didn’t actually have appointments because the man working refused to call anyone from the non appointment line. Online booking isn’t an option either I’ve been trying for 3 weeks. I’ve been standing here for 2 hours with only 4 people infront of me in the non appointment line and I’ve watched 17 people in the “appointment line” go forward. There has to be a better system.

Wife and I needed to get our Real IDs and could not find appointment times. So we went early, expecting to be there several hours. We go there about 7:25, at 7:30 a worker came thru the line checking paperwork, and pulled several of us out of line and checked us in. We were done by 7:50 (posted open time is 8:00am) and the staff was friendly the entire time.

Unfortunately, today I unsuccessfully tried to apply for a real id and had to talk there with some noname incompetent guy, who left exactly at 5 p.m, while the manager was not polite enough as well. Not to mention that I had to wait almost 2 hours in a queue for literally no results . That's what I call absurd bureaucracy with the absence of customer service. Get better, DMV! One star for now.
