Five stars for this wonderful company, for the design and installation of a simple, elegant, beautifully functional guard rail for this old lady in her 90's to go up and down brick steps to her house. This might not sound like much, but the SB Forge team gave me help, support, counseling on what was needed, ending with a beautiful rail that is quite possiby going to keep my life going without a dangerous fall. I've been using it for a week, and thanking Joel and Ray and SB Forge every day.

If I could give a million stars I would! I couldn’t fault Santa Barbara Forge in the slightest! The finish and quality of their skillets are unparalleled and they definitely make perfect gifts even for induction users (their skillets are 3-4mm thick, even thicker than De buyer and there’s just no way it warps!) As well as being functional, these skillets are gorgeous. Almost too gorgeous to use…. although I’m sure they are meant to be used and enjoyed daily. 😊 On top of that, the customer service was excellent - Joel replied to every message super quickly, helped with my enquires and made sure that my order arrives safely. From fast shipping to secure wrapping & item quality & communication - definitely 5 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you once again Santa Barbara Forge, especially you Joel for your kindness! The owner missed an opportunity when his employees and then he first encountered SLO County Observer. Amongst many things, his forge makes kitchenware. His products are not sold in the big box retailers like Walmart. He competes with much less expensive made-in-China kitchenware as well as other makers of high-quality carbon steel kitchenware - a niche market. He is in the business of selling things. A lot of his publicity comes from reviews on social media. This video will get tens of thousands of views. Several of SLO's videos have hundreds of thousands of views. If 10 people think 'He seems like a good guy and makes interesting products, I'll buy something from him' that's a few thousand dollars in sales. Don't sell, goodbye big investment. Manufacturing in the US is tough, uphill even. To his credit, he shifted fire and comes off well in the end. Had it been like this from the start... If it were my business: 'Check out what we make! You want to see how we do it?'

Placed order on January 30, and still waiting! Reached out twice by email and one voice message, but no response from the blacksmith.

UPDATE: the blacksmith responded with information on expected ship date of the skillet we ordered.

Best blacksmiths in California. All handmade products. You can truly feel the difference. You could buy a designer piece of hardware for more money and lower quality or you could swing by their shop and get something truly special.
