This is the most unprofessional production facility I have ever dealt with in my 17 years in the fashion industry. It took 9 months for Silk Hands to make a 15 piece swimsuit line. It was supposed to take 3 months. Here are some of the issues the occurred: The owner used the wrong size fit model for the sample size he agreed to in the contract. The owner kept promising new dates for the fitting but never keeping them. The owner/assistant did not return phone calls or emails in regards to nailing down dates for all the dates they missed. So pushing back the dates each week/month! I even showed up for a email confirmed fitting to find that there was no fitting because there were no samples ready to fit. I missed a fashion show because they did not have 1 sample done! This was after they knew 4 weeks in advance of the fashion show and were already 2 months behind the promised date. The samples were not sewn with proper swimwear sewing. There was no fulflex in the suits and lots of single needle sewing. The spaghetti send out straps were almost all super wavy! They filled neon and nude spaghetti straps with black rubber! The black spaghettis and straps were not my black fabric! So the straps did not match the body of the suits. The duplicate samples could not have been further from being duplicates. Different sized straps were used on the same style. The sewing was extremely sloppy. Don't use this factory is all I have to say. They may do work for the contemporary label For Love and Lemons well but its because its the owners "favorite company". So if you aren't them you won't get your work done.

We are a new swimwear line, and are so appreciative for Silkhands. They have been so challenged by the pandemic and closing down, but once they reopened, they did everything they could and more to finish our swimsuits so we could launch our first line.
