Shop here for water and grab a box of granola bar snack on July 17th. Today, July 18th as I was about to open the box it indicated "Best if used by 06JUNE2024". I immediately return it and got my money back.
So be aware, make sure to check the date on food items before buying. I usually check but I thought I should trust this store. I was disappointed.

I have been shopping at this store for 10 years I have never had any issues with any of the employees. Recently they have the policy of removing all items from the cart. I am in my 60’s and buy bulk dry goods for my pantry. Some things are heavy so loading, unloading, loading again, and unloading into my car has just gotten too much for me. I have to have my son or husband come with me. Some times there are very few carts. There is no offer of help which I understand. I have decided to see if other stores have the same policy. If this will continue to be the policy I will have to find another store to shop at.

Went here for a few items I needed to complete my meal prep recipes for the week. It was literally less than five dollars worth of items, and for the amount of service I got I feel I was overcharged

After collecting my items, the two registers had both signs that the register was closed, so from that moment on it was a complete show.

as I was walking up to the register I could hear Melinda was complaining with another Male coworker about closing and arguing about what register should be shut down. She was too concerned about closing out when she was helping me. She asked me if I wanted a bag I said yes, but then towards the end of our interactions said she didn't charge me for a bag and literally threw on top of her station like if she was disgusted with me. Very unprofessional and seemed like she hated her job.

The staff at this location is awesome! Elizabeth & Melanie are so helpful even going so far as to hold onto a product until I get there. There is a young who is a checker and he has tried several times to show me how to open the plastic for veggie/fruits …. He’s awesome!!!!

There is something fundamentally off and odd about this Smart & Final store on Fair oaks in Pasadena, not only is product quality below par but the fact they always run out of the items. What make it even worse, is the awfully negative vibe in this store at large, a very unpleasant, if not toxic shopping experience. Compare to Trader’s J, Vons, Ralph or even other S&F.

I can only attribute the to two main points: The lack of business savvy on the store manager part or the ineptitude of the regional or head “idiots” in charge. In either case, this particular store or the entire S&F infrastructure needs some serious restructure and managerial overhauling. For S& F higher up are not giving the shareholders bang for their bucks.
