Do not buy Sonos products any longer! Even though the speakers are great, their app has become a complete mess with the latest update. Slow, not user friendly any longer and most of all, many functions have just gone or do not work any longer. I wonder how such an innovative and used to be excellent company can release such immature software. Seems simply put on the market without testing. Hey Sonos, I have invested several thousand bucks on your hardware, now it has become industrial waste. Cause without app there is no control on the speakers. Stop fooling your customers!

Horrible product. App no longer working and I now have five lovely black bricks to use as paper weights. Worst of all you don’t seem to care. Horrible company. Good luck to you all.

Prducts are great.
Software and support are really - really bad.
Not enough technicians anywhere. Hours long wait times if you decide to call the support and the most unhelpful error prompts I have ever seen.

The App gets completely locked if YOUR SPEAKER needs an update (whatever is that for?). If that update fails for whatever reason, you can't ignore that and use the rest of the system anymore, you're locked in. Good luck.

Ah and should you fancy changing the EQ because the lower end of the bass range is VERY pronounced on most Sonos products?
Fat chance, you get a single slider for "bass" and one for the highs. You're not allowed to have preferences.

How can a company with such good products be so horrendously bad with their software?

The new version is everything but not user friendly at all! Besides many bugs, it is not intuitive at all. Did you guys really test this version before marketing it? Is your management aware of this disastrous version? You now scored 1.1 stars out of 5 from your users and customers out 176000 comments. A rollback to the old version seems to be a must if you do not want a quick image desaster! The end of Sonos? Food for thoughts...

An app that cripples your entire system. 70 minutes on hold for customer service with no callback functionality. No ETA on fixes. No apologies or discounts in return for purchasing what are now very expensive bookends. The apps have been problematic for years. Owning a Sonos product is like being a helpless prisoner. What’s to like?

We have been faithful Sonos customers until recently. We have had issues with some products and the customer care team is quick to answer and just as quick to ghost the issues, there is four open cases they have asked us if are resolved. I would hope they can answer that question themselves. We have had as many as 21 Sonos products at a time and were thrilled until the past year of poor service once Sonos gave up on support for some older product they offered. I am afraid our thousands of dollars invested will be obsolete shortly.

Little disappoint to see how Sonos has aged out equipment that didn’t need to be aged out and simply has bumped their prices overboard with little customer satisfaction. The first 3 generations were over priced and lacked a lot of quality and failed to deliver to customer expectations, but on the last update to force a subscription service and remove all other functionality at the very least could have left the device control to be able to continue the services like Alexa and Google play it to strip all functionality make Sonos go from a a1 product to bottom of the pile and to never buy or endorse the overpriced piece of junk espically when two prices cost over $1000 buy a Bose set at least Bose will continue to support their older products
