Stellar built is amazing. They built my entire 2020 4runner and have done a fantastic job. They do great work and are very knowledgeable BUT they dropped the ball on a parts order which put a sour taste in my mouth.

I placed a deposit to get ball joints replaced and springs swapped out on 12/4/24. The agreement when I spoke to them over the phone and text on 12/4/24 was they were to order the ball joints from Summit racing (a link I provided) and I was to provide the springs as I already had them when I placed the deposit. I scheduled the service to take place on 12/30/24 - 12/31/24. When I arrived on 12/30/24, they claimed Holiday shipping delays and holiday recess as the reason why they didn’t have the ball joints on their parts counter.

I’m reasonable and understand potential holiday shipping delays but I then went on summit racing’s website (the same link i sent them) to order the ball joints myself. I received the ball joints two days later for free shipping from Summit racing which really has me feeling like stellar built dropped the ball and forgot to order my ball joints, only being reminded of the ball joint order when I got there on my installation date. The man at the counter told me the parts are most likely backordered, which wouldn’t make sense if I received them so soon from Summit racing.

I’m not mad and, in fact, plan to go back to Stellar Built in the future if I need specialty work done. I’ve taken my truck there twice and they honestly do great work; however, from this point forward, I will definitely be ordering my own parts and will recommend others to do the same.

I plan to do the ball joints myself since I took time off work to take my truck to stellar built. Luckily, I know an alignment shop close by capable of doing off-road alignment for a similar price.

Best off road shop in the whole west coast of America🇺🇸 period. Whether you want an 3inch ifs lift and tires or long travel with a bed cage they got you covered. They only recommend the most reliable parts, tried and true. But will work with your budget and get you the best bang for your buck. If you want to build or fix your Rock Crawler look no further that’s what they are known for! Adam has some of the finest welds in the game, and the knowledge behind the builds are next level. Known to fabricate the best straight axial rock crawlers the rubicon has ever seen and ride smooth doing 80mph on the freeway. Couldn’t be happier with the work they’ve done on my vehicles!
