Sunce set the bar incredibly high for our wine country trip. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by warm and knowledgeable hosts, Mike and Janae, who made the entire experience unforgettable. They took the time to walk us through their winemaking process, sharing not only the technical details but also the passion and story behind each bottle. We loved learning about the the history and how they named their wines.

The wines were exceptional — beautifully crafted and thoughtfully presented. Each pour came with insight that helped us appreciate the depth and character of what we were tasting. It was clear they take immense pride in their craft, and it shows in both the wine and the experience they’ve created.

We left with more than just great bottles — we left with a deeper appreciation for winemaking and a memory we’ll be talking about for a long time. Highly recommend this winery to anyone visiting the area — it’s a true gem!

Hands down most unique winery we've visited so far. Huge variety of wines and all exquisite. The owners are very so welcoming and knowledgeable, and gave us a tour with tastings right from the barrels!

Its serene and welcoming atmosphere are perfect for tasting award-winning wines, strolling through the estate Pinot Noir vineyard, or enjoying a game of bocce ball. The knowledgeable staff, coupled with the picturesque surroundings, make for an unforgettable visit that beautifully encapsulates the essence of Sunce, meaning "sun" in Croatian.

The tasting experience at Sunce is nothing short of delightful. The winery's commitment to small-batch, artisanal wine production is evident in every sip, with each bottle reflecting the unique terroir and meticulous craftsmanship. Knowledgeable and passionate staff guide you through a diverse selection of varietals, from elegant Pinot Noirs to robust Zinfandels, each showcasing the winery's dedication to quality and tradition. (My personal favorite was the Malbec!). Make sure to inquire about the barrel tour, where you can "thieve" wine straight from the barrel!

The intimate setting, often complemented by friendly conversations and stunning views, makes for an unforgettable visit. Sunce Winery is a hidden gem, where every glass tells a story of passion, place, and exquisite taste.

P.S. anyone visiting must try the meatballs, which (I believe) were based in a sauce made with on-site Zinfandel—delicious!

Hands-down one of the most delightful wineries I've had the pleasure of visiting (out of probably a hundred) and with excellent, award-winning wines. The most varietals I've ever seen in a single winery, from nearly every region in the world, and they were ALL good!! And you get to try as many of their 45 different wines in your tasting as you'd like - PLUS they had delicious homemade meatballs to share. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, including to our pup companion. The space is relatively humble, but great for a fun group hangout, with a bocce ball court and putting greens and lots of patio tables. This small family-owned spot is definitely a must-visit in the region!

What a phenomenal selection of wines, where several a Gold medal winners and even a Best in Class.
Best of all: the best bang for your buck!!
We sampled 20 of their wines before tapping out. The customer service Zack provided us was just amazing and we loved the charcuterie board he prepared for us to enhance our experience.

Small family owned winery. They had a good variety to taste from. Kids played Bocce ball while we sipped our wine. Nicole was fantastic. We stayed a couple of hours - longer than anticipated and ended up taking a few good bottles home. Looking forward to enjoying them at leisure. All in all glad we picked Sunce.
I have a feeling we'll be back!

It was such a wonderful day! Zach was our wine guide. His experience and palette paid off 10 fold. We started in the tasting room and continued onto barrel tasting for future bottles.
The number one thing that stands out about the wines is the number of varietals and the willingness of the winemaker to experiment. Those experiments pay off in learning about new grapes (new to us) and amazing results of tasty wines, even before they are done aging in the barrels.
There's an authentic bocce court , putt putt golf strip, seating, and beautiful vines growing in the field. They also offer a great charteuterie plate to go with the wine. I'm so glad that we stumbled upon Sunce!
