First, they are the most expensive truss company in the central valley. We needed to use them due to the quick turnaround time, so paying a premium seemed reasonable at the time. I was wrong.

They delivered the trusses a couple days after their original delivery date, but that was understandable due to the current pandemic. The issues started when the driver got there and started unloading the trusses. First, the driver had no idea what he was doing in regards to truss placement. One of our guys had to hold his hand the entire day to make sure everything was done correctly. The trusses were also bundled incorrectly (not drivers fault, but production fault). A lot of time was wasted getting that done. The driver also broke a sheer wall and interior wall, as well as a truss when unloading.

When we finally got around to rolling the trusses, we noticed that the designer that went to measure, got some of the measurements wrong. Due to the timeline, we made modifications to the space, rather than have the trusses modified.

When the designer went to the job site and acknowledge his mistakes, he and my company had a verbal agreement that my company would repair the damage their driver had caused, as well as find a solution to the improperly sized trusses. We were then to send an invoice with the cost for material/labor and we would be reimbursed for this.

I sent them the invoice, but they do not want to pay. They said that their company was sold off, so the current owner was not responsible for paying and the previous owner did not feel like he was responsible for paying either. The invoice is dated before the company was sold. Their excuse is that the homeowner owes them money, but that has nothing to the do with the verbal contract my company had directly with them.

As of now, I will take them to small claims court due to breach of verbal contract and hope all is resolved there.
