I really like this store. Coming from the Southeast Tiendas/Supermercados are both rare and sparsely stocked. So if you want Chorizo for tacos or really good corn tortillas, then you can get them but you can’t also get fresh fruit at the same location. The produce and deli here is absolutely fantastic. The fruit options actually exceed most Kroger’s. I like to buy fruit to snack on during the day and eat quite a lot of it. Prices were about the same as other stores. Freshness and quality were better. The deli has a larger selection of Hispanic food than most normal grocery stores have standard American options. It’s bright, clean. And the tres leches cake…just pure bliss. I get that I probably wouldn’t know a good from a bad tres leches if offered money. But I have a general appreciation for food. The desserts here are really worth eating. This is a legitimate one-stop shop for both generic grocery store AND Hispanic food items. If I lived in the Central Valley I would probably choose to shop here at least half my grocery trips.

I LOVE Vallarta on Main St. This location is fully stocked (great prices on sale items as well as items not on sale). The store is very clean. Also, the staff is friendly. I went shopping there today while they are celebrating their Newly Remodeled store/Grand Re-Opening. I didn't expect to get free samples that were offered by staff walking around. That made my experience today feel special. I didn't get a chance to see their name badges. However, the one name I did catch was Violet. She was very friendly with a bright smile. When the staff smiles, it makes my shopping experience uplifting. CONGRATULATIONS, Main St. Vallarta on your Newly Remodeled store - it's very beautiful. You are my go-to supermarket!!!!

Stopped here on the way back from Bakersfield for some Caldo de Pollo and a Burrito. They didn't have Asada but carnitas was a good substitute. Food was hot and fresh.
