New York Butcher Shoppe

What a find and a delightful Pulled Pork sandwich which was very filling and tasteful. One the best Pulled Pork sandwiches I've had in Bama! Other sandwiches available and can't wait to try them all. Great job all! Will be returning soon.

Boy is this little shop a treat! I'm a bit sad that we didn't discover this while we actually lived a little bit closer to this area. Ah well, we'll still return! The sandwiches are HUGE (as a sign on the front door indicates). It's no joke either. The Mrs and I split a sandwich (wasn't starving) and had a brew a piece. We sat outside because the weather was nice. What a great lunch date! The meat on the sandwiches is very very moist and tasty! Bread is good, beer was tasty and you can't quite go wrong with Zapp's Voodoo chips!! I actually haven't read the other reviews to come before me, so I'm not sure if this has been mentioned but this place really reminds me of Mr. P's. That's a compliment if anybody from New York Butcher Shoppe reads this. The service was great, friendly, genuine and personal! Great customer service can do wonders for a visit anywhere! We didn't take advantage of any fresh meats for purchase, but wouldn't be opposed to it at all if they are as fresh as the deli meats. There's no reason for this place to have any less than 5 stars. Great food, great service, great locale, great selections, great time!

Outstanding service and selection with a great variety. Enjoyed getting some high-quality beef in addition to a delicious sandwich. Highly recommend and consider this a Cahaba Heights treasure.

Wow, unbelievably awful service. The managers were incredibly rude, right to my face, too! They obviously had a very poor relationships with their employees as well, they were not a happy looking group. Aside from the fact that Son of A Butcher is a far superior option to this place, I wouldn't want to give them my business anymore just based on how they conduct themselves. I'm still in shock at just how badly this place is managed and operated. It's been this way since the before the pandemic started and has only gotten worse. I guess I was naive to give them another chance. Avoid this place at all costs if you care about the quality of your meat, the service provided to you, and the kind of people you're keeping in business. You can get far better sandwiches at Publix (who use the same brand of deli meats anyways) and far better cuts of meat from Son of A Butcher.

Quality meats at a fair price. Good service and decent selection of 'sides', wines, and beer. Bonus is Fri smoked prime rib and Sat smoked wings and ribs. Oh, the sandwiches are fantastic and pretty darn big for 1 person.

this is the best sandwich spot in town by far. i’ve never had anything below exceptional in terms of quality and taste. i’ve always felt welcomed here and the sandwich deal can’t be beat. highly recommend the brooklyn or italian with salt and vinegar chips!

Best Prime Rib I've eaten in years. Slowly smoked over wood gave it this mouth watering flavor that was out of this world. Staff are so friendly and caring in the packing of all items. My Mom's 91st birthday I asked what she wanted to eat, she said the Prime Rib at New York Butcher! They cook it to perfection.
